My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Reporting Live from Taiwan, The Lair's, Live Action Reporter, starbase, bringing up to the minute news.
LOL! Yes we can try, but that TinyPic.com URL I use for picture posting is blocked in Taiwan due to "violations of posting rules", so I'll have to find another hosting site, I believe there are lots of them around.
Well, does this mean your music files will be gone again - I mean if you trade it for the camera?
Not this time! I'm only trading in the computer. Since I've been back I have bought a little USB memory card, only the size of a rather small lighter, for just $30 bucks, it holds 2 GIG! Can you believe how cheap and large these storage devices are these days?
It's loaded with files, and music and software and what not and I still have 1 gig open! So I will pop it in my pocket and have Lair music no matter what Internet cafe I go to in Taiwan.

Oh, I had forgotten about the memory card you bought. Good thinking!
Another place, don't know anything about this one, I mean whether it costs money or not.

Haiku is fine
some of us write
it some of the time
You have septic tanks problems,
yikes been there done that.
I am not very good at writing Haiku,
we do have several poets who write it well.
To: Soaring Feather
Speaking of music, I have 5 MT songs:
1. java jive
2. sunny side of the street
3. chansonamor
4. choochooboogie
5. operator
Does that pretty much sum up your collection? ;-)

Yes, for Manhattan Transfer, it is not complete. Sorry.
I will look through my files just to make sure.

LOL! Thanks! Feel free to steal...er...borrow it.
The Junk man LIVES! ...I scanned a Washington Mutual flyer from the mail today for the pic, did a little photo-shopping, then stole a haiku from somewhere within 'the world's largest library'. Figured that with a Spring theme, a cute pic (I would have preferred a Lab, but, Oh well!), and a dog-cat verse, how could I go wrong? ...grin

You're welcome.
There is so much work to do on the Anthology. I wish to have everyone equally represented by show casing their wonderful writing. It encourages writers and gives morale a real boost to see one's work saved and showcased.
To: Soaring Feather
Sounds like an excellent plan. 8^)

Cardinal At Mornings Edge |
|
|
| |
Soft spoken dawns call Against snowy curb canvas, Chaos of my thoughts refocus Toward an early date with spring. From some lofted frozen branch Across the boulevard are you, Sweet singer of preharbinged seasons Song of warmth belied by icey grayness. No rhyme, just music to a sullen ear Meant to bring us all awake to hear; Though none do, but I, mankinds child, Not winged like you, nor rouge Of daybreaks blushing cue On the edge of morn...

A cardinal, on this cold, yet bright spring morning rests on a birch branch outside of my window. I pause from my work to watch it and breathe in the magnificence of its colour. A smile overtakes me. The cardinal has brought for me a message on this day. He tells me, in no uncertain terms, that life is beautiful.

Good day, Lady Jag!
Love the poetry and there's nothing like a Cardinal sing in the Lair.
