My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Me too. ...and I was particularly attentive to (and in awe of) your success with that butterfly one because I did that silly Nancy Pelosi morph just yesterday
http://www.seadogbytes.com/sbimages/PelosiJoker2a.gif
(someone had requested it) and it started out at 800k+ (...and not looking too bad, I thought.) When I finally cut it loose, I had chopped out half of the frames, and dropped the resolution (w/ AS3) so far it looked ugly to me, and it was STILL in the 300K+ range. ...sigh.
...So I say again... Nice JOB!

Let's see, I'm checking out monasteries in the Western US that I might end up in:
The Order of Saint Benedict: Oooh, there's lots of these, and I like eggs Benedict too!
Brigittine Monastery Hmmm, Brigittine, never heard of them!
Abhayagiri Hmm, a Buddhist one in Red Wood CA, now that would be serene!
So many to choose from! ;-)

Good luck to you in all you set your sail for. Something will happen for you.
Glad you enjoyed my litle dabbling.

Winter's bitter bite is left behind
a Spring begins oh so sweet I find
and the four feet of snow as I left
I miss it not, nor feel of it bereft
Nancy and I are sort of settled in to our friend's house, and we are hitting the local job houses, the job services, and the University to place our resumes every place we can find! Will keep ya all informed, and will even extend a offer fr you to come and visit us when we have a place of our own. (after all, YOUR going to want someplace warm to visit in winter)

Thanks. I think my other post was too much information! But like I said, I'm a bit unhappy that a 3 year break means all my 10 years of experience are now chopped liver. That's unreasonable!
BTW, in the above post I meant to say, "I've got to do something.", as in, for a living, not "I've got to do something", as in, it's a big emergency, it's not, as I was wise enough to save up while in Asia.
But I did think I could leverage my IT background, but now it looks like I can't. Well, maybe I just need to look around more, I'll give it to the end of the summer, then I might consider going back to Taiwan!!! AAAAhhhh, never thought I'd say that, but 5 more years of teaching and I could buy my little farm. Hmmmmm.
Stranger things have happened.
Well I won't dwell on it here and be the party pooper. I'll just bring it up again when I start something new and rewarding. Now, about those monasteries.....

Hello to you! I have been wondering about you. Glad you arrived safe and sound demented cats and all.
If Spring does not arrive here soon, and I mean warm weather, I am headed somewhere warm. Best of luck to you and wife in your employment hunting. It will fall into place for you.

Sorry for the multiple entries, I had to sign in and for some reason my computer decided to pop out a few more then I thought.

John, you're going crazy with the posts! A triple post! Must be a keyboard malfunction. But then FR is running really slow lately, messes up one's timing.

Well, I just sent an email to some old contacts of mine in Taiwan. They are an older British/Chinese couple (she's British, he's Chinese). They wanted to talk to me about working with them while I was in Taiwan, but I left so suddenly we never had the chance. I had to get out of there anyway, it was time for a break!!!
Talking about it makes me realize it's really silly that all my tech experience is so discountable, guess that's the way it works. Kind of like being a super model, if fashions change, or someone else comes along, suddenly, you're worthless! I might as well consider going back to Taiwan where I was making comfortable money (but the culture is sure wacky).
I guess my break from IT is permanent, unless I do some freelance stuff, but that's too erratic to count on. Oh well, so much the better, now I can go back to Taiwan (and just deal with the slings and arrows of the weird culture) and do whatever writing I want in my off time while I start up the "savings mill".
Hmmm, (actually this is all hypothetical, I'm just throwing pasta on the wall).
Well, it might work out that way. We'll see what my contact says.
