My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I am well thanks. So far it is early for me as I have a strange work schedule. I hope that your day is going well. The coffee is just starting to work.

Yup, so far so good, just finished with lunch. LOL and you've just started moving around in the new day.

Some mornings I am out the door before the milkman arrives. Other days I start late.

Yupper, jobs are like that, some of them.
I am lazy, I do poetry any time. :)
To: Soaring Feather
Lazy, I don't think so. It is good that the creative spirit in you flourishes so well. 8^)

Thank You, some days that's the only thing that moves(spirit). I mean, I am like a rock settled in for the duration. LOL

O dandelion, rich and haughty, King of village flowers! Each day is coronation time, You have no humble hours. I like to see you bring a troop To beat the blue-grass spears, To scorn the lawn-mower that would be Like fate's triumphant shears, Your yellow heads are cut away, It seems your reign is o'er. By noon you raise a sea of stars More golden than before.

Such true statements. Anyone that has a lawn would know how true this poem is. Good one.

Oh the pesky dandelion
covered in white fluff
floats through the air
it hits my nose and makes me sniff
I sneeze and off it drifts
to find another nose to close
with it's white lint.
They covered the yard in golden yellow
acting as a king in his domain
seeking to expand his realm from
fence to neighbors garden just
raising lots of Cain.
Ya, dig 'em, ya spray 'em
ya, curse 'em, and bless 'em
for when the yellow hits the ground
ya know for sure Summer's around.

LOL! My neighbor blames me for her dandelions. What's worse, she blames me for her leaves!

Interesting. What an ungrateful person to complain about the bounty of gifts that you give him/her. 8^)

Meg, this is exquisite. Love that shade of blue.
In the Northeast we call these flowers Lupine, Lupine come in many colors.
Thank you so much for beautifying the Lair on Spring Break.
It's raining now. Wh00p!
To: NY Attitude
Thanks. Just a little bit of fluff. ;)
To: MEG33
Oh, Meg I think I made a mistake on the flowers you posted, they are indeed BlueBells. Sorry.

He stands there in the middle of the lawn A splash of colour in a sea of green An introduction to the breaking dawn The brightest sight from all round to be seen. A yellow circle like the very sun A friendly warmth emitting from his glow A stalwart flower yet a lonely one In one-off isolation does he grow. One of many he would rather be With fellow yellow buddies all around Though all the rest are now but history Hacked with incompassion to the ground. He'll follow them ere long with all due speed. To those who rule the roost he's just a weed.
