Sun is in and out here and it's in the low 50s. When the sun is out it's warm and when it's in it's cold.
Having a Heat Wave?
How Cold Is Cold?
60 Californians put on sweaters (if they can find one)
50 Miami residents turn on the heat
40 You can see your breath, Californians shiver uncontrollably, Minnesotans go swimming
35 Italian cars don't start
32 Water freezes
30 You plan your vacation to Australia
25 Boston water freezes, Californians weep pitiably, Minnesotans eat ice cream, Canadians go swimming
20 Politicians begin to talk about the homeless, New York City water freezes, Miami residents plan vacation further South
15 French cars don't start, Cat insists on sleeping in your bed with you
10 You need jumper cables to get the car going
5 American cars don't start
0 Alaskans put on T-shirts
-10 German cars don't start, Eyes freeze shut when you blink
-15 You can cut your breath and use it to build an igloo, Arkansans stick tongue on metal objects, Miami residents cease to exist
-20 Cat insists on sleeping in pajamas with you, Politicians actually do something about the homeless, Minnesotans shovel snow off roof, Japanese cars don't start
-25 Too cold to think, You need jumper cables to get the driver going
-30 You plan a two week hot bath, Swedish cars don't start

-50 Congressional hot air freezes, Alaskans close the bathroom window
-80 Hell freezes over, Polar bears move South
-90 Lawyers put their hands in their own pockets
I neglected to ping you to the above post.
I'm punishing myself right now.
I think that you are incorrect about the -40 for Californians. It is probably more like +10 degrees. That goodness we do not get snow on the valley floor. If we did, I would not go to work, fill my Thermos full of hot coffee and walk down to the Central Ave overpass and watch the fun of them trying to drive.
I didn't write that because, if I had, Floridians would have put on down parkas at 70º like my friend's cousin does - and she lives in Pensacola!
That is what happens here in California. It is 80 degrees here and they are all bundled up like Eskimos.
You're not there yet? Where you're cold at 80?
Though I've never spent more than 2 weekd in a row in Florida, I don't think I could ever get "there". Though, as everyone knows, it's not the heat, it's the humidity.
I run in around in a tee when it is 55. I just love the reaction it gets.
Thanks for the ping! Pretty funny stuff.
Then you must not be old enought to remember "knickers". Wait a minute, neither am I. LOL.

Okay, another surprise. I would not have guessed this color. People know you as a straight shooter. You're very honest, even when the truth hurts. You are also very grounded and practical. No one is going to sneak anything by you. People enjoy your fresh approach to life. And it's this honesty that makes you a very innovative person. |
Two grapes on the vine?? LOL
Good evening to you!
Good evening Soaring Feather. I was surprised at the color. The dialogue was a pretty accurate description of me. I would imagine the shades of night have come crashing down where you live. It is still daylight here. I think that we were close to a record high in temperature today.
It was much warmer here with lots more snow melt. I looked out the back door and saw Snow Drops blooming midst the snow. Ah, relief! Spring is on the way. Still four inches of snow in places in the backyard. Lots of dirty brown grass showing up here and there.
I think those tests are kinda fun. Odd, both of ours were the same. I suppose due to general questions. I am fond of the color purple.
Glad to hear that it is warmer there and that Spring arrives in 10 days. Those tests are fun. My favorite color is Blue.
All the colors I wear are cool colors, so blue is one I do wear.
