The PI has said in several interviews that Bahamian investigators found his card in Daniel's pocket and contacted him. I don't know how that got past Stern, or if it did. I never heard the PI say that Stern contacted him due to the card. Have you heard him say it? Did I miss something? Or, or you just speculating in this regard?

Just speculating. Following the trail. Ray Martino WAS a family friend and appeared on her show at some point. They said that Martino gave Daniel the name of the PI. I would suppose there's a call FROM HOWARD to AT LEAST get Daniel's things out of there. I have no doubt there was some communication between Howard and Martino. Howard needed "script" material on Daniel because of the lack of communication.

Martino seems to have kept the PI thing private...And I'll bet Howard screamed at Martino for not telling him about the PI.
