DNA Experts Called In Anna Nicole Paternity Case

Sources tell ET that the judge may order a DNA test when the paternity hearing involving ANNA NICOLE SMITH's baby girl, DANNIELYNN, resumes on Tuesday in the Bahamas.
Two DNA experts are expected to testify tomorrow. According to ET's source, one will be presented by attorneys for Anna's partner, HOWARD K. STERN, and the other by her alleged former boyfriend, LARRY BIRKHEAD. Both men claim to be the father of the little girl, who was born in the Bahamas in September of last year.
If DNA testing is ordered, the court will likely choose one of the two experts presented to verify the results, and tests will have to be done in the United States.

The buzz on Friday streamed onto the World Wide Web quickly that a court in the Bahamas was set to order that Anna Nicole Smith's baby be tested and those results would be used to present DNA evidence to determine if Larry Birkhead, Howard stern or some other person is the father of Anna's baby Dannielynn Hope. It was even being reported that the test has already been given. Not so fast says the newsroom at TMZ.Com.
Anna Nicole Smith's Baby's DNA Not Yet Taken
A report on Monday from the AOL Entertainment website claims that it just isn't so. Be patient though case watchers. Although it hasn't happened yet, that could all change tomorrow. The judge in the Bahamas is inclined to issue a DNA order as early as tomorrow. TMZ says it has learned that at tomorrow's court hearing, DNA experts are scheduled to testify.

The Associated Press is reporting that potential papa Larry Birkhead was upbeat on Friday following the court hearing in the Bahamas over custody of Anna Nicole Smith's baby. The report notes that the hearing was closed, but many have taken his "happy mood" to mean that a test is close.
Anna Nicole Smith's mother, who also wants the baby, said nothing outside the court building on Friday. Virgie Arthur wants to take Dannielynn from Howard K. Stern, Smith's companion, who's had the baby all along. She has said she could provide a more stable home.
Stern was not at Friday's hearing.

Wow, having a hard time even getting to post, board so slow.
Just wanted to add that The Insider has started their Daniel Inquest series now. The first segment was where they asked HKS if he had anything to do with Daniel's death and he stated unequivocally that he did not.
This is the same footage we've seen, where he's sitting in a chair in front of a seaside window in Horizons. He later confirms that's where he is.
OK - then they switch to Ford Shelley and Ben Thompson, while a voiceover explains that they were friends of ANS. They show some home snapshots of the whole Thompson/Shelley family with Daniel and Anna. Ford and Ben say Daniel had been having some problems with a GF and was suffering some depression.
Then they go to Ford claiming to have seen HKS take two tablets (he thinks they were methadone but has no way of knowing, he admits) out of Daniel's jeans pocket and then going into a bathroom - and Ford heard the toilet flush. Then HKS came out and said "problem taken care of." FS assumed he flushed the pills.
(My notes here - from what I can tell, this happened at Horizons and the jeans were apparently an extra pair among Daniel's belongings - not the ones he had had on when he died. HKS must have taken Daniel's luggage on back to the house at some point, because we've always heard he took Daniel straight from the airport to the hospital.
Could be wrong about this, they might have been the jeans Daniel had been wearing - but would the hospital or police have taken them off him and given them to ANS/HKS after he died? And would HKS have left the PI Harding bus card there - tho it was in Daniel's wallet, I've heard more recently - not just pocket? Confusing on those jeans.)
Back to HKS, who denies that any of that ever happened. Then he goes into Thompson and Shelley being the people involved in challenging (he didn't even use a word that truthful) "this very home we're sitting in." Of course, HKS never says *why* nor does ET, I mean, The Insider. Grrr.
They spend a lot of time letting Ford talk, eventually ending with Ford saying HKS should pray for forgiveness. Wish I could recall what The Insider said to that, but Ford shot back, "I sleep well at night, bro." LOL.
Then at the end of the Daniel Inquest segment, they had a teaser ... a photo of Daniel with the question, "Was Daniel anorexic?" Apparently, it has to do with Martino's comments on Daniel losing so much weight. We shall see. ET will probably have a similar segment tonight.

Anna Nicole: Stolen Document Sheds Light on Her Death

Reports are being made that a document has been found that lists a number of drugs that were prescribed to Anna Nicole Smith five days before (September 15, 2006) her 20 year old son, Daniel, passed away.
Anna's friend Dr. Khris Erosheviche was asked about the document but she claimed she could not speak about the reported document.
"This is a confidential document; it's a stolen document," she says. "So it's illegally out there in the media. I can't discuss it because it has patient-doctor confidentiality. This document holds privilege even after the patient has deceased."
The secret memo was written for Anna Nicole under one of the fake names she used, "M Chase." The drugs listed in the memo include, Dilaudid, Lorazepam, Soma, Dalmane, Prexige and methadone. Anna Nicole Smith commonly used such pseudonyms when obtaining such drugs, to avoid attention from the media.
The cause of death for Anna Nicole's son Daniel happened to be a lethal mixture of methadone with Zoloft and Lexapro, Dr. Cyril Wecht determined. It's such a tragedy that a man of such a young age could die from something like this. One wouldn't have to think too hard to figure out how he got into drugs with the lifestyle he was living. Sadly enough his mother followed his foot steps.
Dr. Eroshevich would not comment on the details of the document, but she did explain what some of the drugs on the list are used for.
"These are an assortment of pain medicines," she explains. "Most well-known is morphine sulfate. The second well-known is Dilaudid. And perhaps the less well known for usage, either in pregnancy or addiction or for chronic pain, is methadone.
"Dilaudid is very similar to morphine," she continues. "It's given in tablet form, or it's given as an injection. It's not as strong as morphine. It helps some people sometimes. Some people don't respond to it at all."
Morphine, she says, is "what you get when you're in the hospital when you've had surgery. It's a clean drug. Used properly, it gives you the most efficient pain relief. It's been around forever, so it's safe in the right hands."
Eroshevich says Methadone "is something you have to be careful about mixing with other medicines."
Will this reported memo shed some light on Anna Nicole's Death? No one knows quite yet, but more news on the document is sure to be reported on soon.

I'm jumping in here to ask if anyone remembers hearing that Howard moved all assets "off shore" in order to avoid US taxes, etc.?? And: where is Anna, Inc. incorporated? The US?

February 11, 2007 -- Howard K. Stern, the pseudo-husband blamed for Anna Nicole Smith's death by her family, is a mysterious figure who emerged from nowhere to take control of her life - and is under fire for being present when her son, then Smith herself, died just five months apart.
Stern, 38, a lawyer who claims to have fathered Smith's daughter, Dannielynn, grew up in Southern California, attended University of California at Berkeley, and graduated from UCLA Law School, passing the bar in 1994.
He spent time in Washington before setting up a talent agency just for her: Hot Smoochie Lips.
She was his only client.
"I work for Anna exclusively, and I have for quite some time, and I'm proud of that," he told a caller on "The Larry King Live" show on Sept. 26.
Stern, a fixture on Smith's reality-TV show, was depicted as being part-confidant, part-lapdog and part-puppet master.
Stern is on the hot seat for allegedly flushing down the toilet two pills that spilled from Daniel's jeans after the 20-year-old was found dead in his mom's hospital room in September, a family friend told "Entertainment Tonight."
"Howard was going through them, and when he reached in the pocket, two white tablets fell out," said Ford Shelly, the son-in-law of G. Ben Thompson, who owns the Bahamian home where Smith lived.
"I heard the toilet flush, and he came out and said he took care of a problem."
After Smith died Thursday, police found bottles of Valium and antibiotics in the name of Stern, according to CNN. He's not a suspect, police said.

It is possible that Stern had the "two white tablets" already in his hand when he searched the jeans' pockets.
Oh, I remember one Sunday when she refused to go to Mass. She decided to boycott until God cured her hip. I couldn't get her to see a physician, but I knew her hip wasn't her only problem. IIRC, she or my dad never missed Sunday Mass. Big red flag!
When I moved down again, she had been placed in a facility and I was responsible to take her to the doctor for pre-surgery exams. Even though the operation was a success, she never was able to walk on her own.
As for being ripped off, she was...to the tune of over 10k. Unlike your dad, there wasn't an official diagnosis of mental distress. That's what the cops told me, even after calling me up here about my mom repeatedly.
That's why ANS signing anything with all those drugs in her system, negates the validity of the document(s).
Good 'HKS' thinking. If he was 'solving a problem' he wouldn't have done it openly in front of witnesses would he?
So, maybe he was trying to establish Daniel used drugs.

"A woman has allegedly been following Larry Birkhead, Access Hollywood has learned.
Birkhead claims the woman was detained Sunday night by security at the Atlantis hotel where Birkhead was staying in the Bahamas. According to Birkhead, the woman was approaching people at the hotel and allegedly offering to pay to find out what room he was staying in."
However, this is not Birkhead's first encounter with the blonde woman, who is believed to work for Broward County School District in Florida."
