It was only 3 and 1/2 pounds. So of course, it shrank, and the top half of it was fat..so there's only a little chunk left for Mr. Spectre's dinner tomorrow. Lots of potatoes, carrots and cabbage left tho..

Thanks for those links too - will have to read those another day - got worn out reading the ones about Daniel's death..whew. Here we sit 5 months after the Coroner's inquest into Daniel's death was supposed to happen - and it still hasn't happened. Oh how I wish we could look into the bank accounts - wherever they may be hiding - of the Bahamian officials in charge of these "investigations".

And I was asking - do we know where Linda Virgil is now? The only Bahamian official who seemed to have the "true grit" needed to get to the truth about Daniel's death?

Glad you brought up Hatten again. Mark Hatten, and I assume these two are related went to jail for seven years thanks I'm sure to Howard. One of the charges seems to be that he beat up Anna's neighbor....Could that be KE???...Hmmmm

I'm gonna go back and try to find out more.

I believe that Anna was drugged to within an inch of her life to prevent her from testifying at Daniel's first scheduled inquest. The talk of "amnesia" was a preliminary effort. Then, as the inquest was postponed Anna probably reflected on what actually happened, HK$ got more terrified and took the final, fatal step.

Contigency cases are generally those cases when one is suing someone else for damages. Personal injury cases are a good example of this. So far as Family Law cases (and suing for paternity is family law) these are not done on a contingency fee and usually involve billable hours.

Mine is still in the cooker. I use a electric turkey type roaster for mine. I bought a corned beef "round" this time. It is about 3 1/2" thick. It is on a short bed cabbage with tons of new red potatoes surrounding it, about 1 1/2" of water under the rack with extra pickling spices (the pack they give you is never enough for us). I just put in the upper bed of cabbage and it should be ready to eat in about 20 minutes.

This would have been a contract particular to what was anticipated. I write ALL mine on an individual basis and none of them are identical because the work is never identical. There's always a contingency factor to cover the unexpected and I've never had one that didn't hold up.

Car accidents are usually 1/3 of gross settlement. Real Estate is set fee or a percentage.

It seems she was doctor shopping ..... but since we don't have the actual drugs airbill - or other clear evidence they actually reached ANS or Stern - would the KE fax basically be unacceptable in a court of law? Or just unverifiable.

I have been puzzled about the Wecht autopsy of Daniel. He came up with the 2 antidepressants and Methadone interacting. I have thought that the Methadone information was so "damning" of foul play since there is no satisfactory explanation as to why Daniel would have that much (the rumor is 7 times) the normal dosage of methadone in his system - or why he would have any methadone in his system at all.

So, basically, I'm saying the Wecht Autopsy was not favorable to Stern. He would at least be questioned about how the methadone got into Daniel's system at the Inquest.

But, what if Wecht was hired to be sure no OTHER drugs were mentioned as being in Daniel's system - besides the methadone and the antidepressants? Drugs like what it appears Anna had access to. (I know the KE fax was after Daniel died - but what if these powerful and potentially deadly drugs were already available - for Stern to make his "cocktail" - to give to Daniel - and he wanted to be sure Wecht's autopsy had NO MENTION of these OTHER drugs?

Just speculating on something that had me puzzled.

We still don't know what the Bahamian final autopsy results were for Daniel. We won't know that til the inquest. We do know that Anna was to be called as a witness at that inquest - that info was in the early threads about Daniel's death.

Let's think. Anna would have had to go into that inquest with all her wits about her AND be convincing. Howard was "Directing" her. Practice as they did...she was still screwing it up.

There's a short bit which is going to be shown on "The Inquest" on Monday. Pleeeeeez, someone tape it. It's a bit where Howard says: "If I killed Daniel, do you think Anna would have protected me?" I believe his arms are crossed. (Defensive behavior)

I put mine in a roaster in the oven...surrounded it with the new potatoes, onion and (your favorite) CARROTS!

I chopped up the cabbage and slow steamed it in a little water and lots of butter.

I'll eat the carrots for you..:)

I was thinking that also - is very strange if they did not find the syringe that contained the Demerol residue in it.
I see now why Perper is having such a hard time with this case. It's like a scale and not one of the three is really outweighing the others.

All three are possible - we know she was somewhat suicidal - we know she was a drug addict - and we know Stern had motive

If you are out to kill someone by shooting them up with a drug filled syringe you don't use a alcohol swab before you inject them. But then again she may have injected herself trying to kill herself or to relieve her pain. But the syringe should have been found in the room if she was the injector.

No *ssh*le she would not have protected you - she would have turned you in - that's why you killed her - because she was getting close to the truth.

She realized Daniel was given a lethal dose of drugs - she didn't give them to him - you did - and sometimes - between her pain and the drugs, she was getting lucid.
