Well, they had also cut off the utilities and changed the locks, so the baby couldn't stay there.
Horry County authorities turned the items over to the Seminole Police Department on Feb. 15 after talking with tribal police and Broward County homicide prosecutors. Campbell and authorities have declined to identify what the potential evidence is.
Campbell said law enforcement has not examined the contents of the computer equipment because of several legal issues:
Does law enforcement need a warrant to access the computer information?
What can be legally done with property surrendered to the Seminole Tribe, a sovereign nation not subject to Florida laws?
If the computer equipment contains evidence of a crime, Broward prosecutors want to be sure they follow the appropriate laws to ensure they could use it if criminal charges are filed.
Thanks for the ping to the new thread. I've been trying to catch up on the old thread all evening. Seems there's lots of new info. Not surprising to hear the baby was wisked away in the boat. Was it Shane Gibson's Mom who has been quoted as saying Anna told her something close to the following:
"If anything happens to the plane, please take care of my baby." Could be she is saying this to cover for her or whoever else might have taken off with the baby.
That Stern is such a lying POS, you can't believe a single word he or his groupies say. There's way tooooooooo much money available to influence people to say almost anything. Even Anna's jewlery could be used as bribes. I remember reading a report of her jewlery being taken by the people who took Dannielynn's baby furniture. Early on we heard about Baby furniture being taken out of the mansion. This is what prompted the Shelley's to get her other things, iirc.

Yeah, they need a warrant for it. They can copy the whole hard drive and do all their forensics from that, but need a SW to do it - and for that, they need probable cause, which I think Ford could probably provide in a statement.

I have also read about all those things. We are not sure if the baby was in Florida, but it was said on Nancy Grace that ANS was foud with a baby bottle with her on the bed.
I think they really are trying to lock it up as they go along and not screw anything up.
That "tribe" stuff worries me.

That was a different time, just the utilities. The night she died or the day after, they also changed the locks, then HKS threatened somebody and played the baby card and they switched the locks back to the keys ANS had originally.
Then there was a court order that they could change them again, but BT/FS said they'd give HKS time to get his ducks in a row so that the baby is taken care of, then he has to be out by March 14th.
It doesn't bother me as much as The Bahamas bother me.

WHAT??? I didn't know that. Omg. No wonder Stern had to keep her stoned. She knew something about Daniel's death. Last night on Greta's program, it was said that Stern was present at both Daniel's death and also Anna's. People who knew Daniel said that he didn't do drugs, so what's up with the methadone in his system?

Though his primary "business" was Smith herself, the statement reeks of Howard K. Stern, with the frozen sperm of her late octogenarian ex running a close, albeit creepy, second.
