ATKINSON, N.H. Brad Delp, the lead singer for the band Boston, was found dead Friday in his home in southern New Hampshire. He was 55.
Atkinson police responded to a call for help at 1:20 p.m. and found Delp dead. Lt. William Baldwin said in a statement the death was "untimely" and that there was no indication of foul play.
Delp apparently was alone at the time, Baldwin said.

Wow, they pulled the entire thread?
Anyway, listening to "A Man I'll Never Be" from "Don't Look Back" right now. R.I.P Brad.
2 threads moved to chat! I guess the mod is not a music fan!
I've been pulled before, too. Don't take it personally. Let's just make THIS thread the best, and ping all of our FRiends to it! :)
Loved their sound. Not bad for a few guys in a recording studio.
Amazingly, (it's 2007, right?) my car still only has a cassette player. I'd rather listen to AM Political Talk Radio when I drive. My two tapes?

RIP, Brad. You gave me a lot of good memories! I know for a FACT that my Ex-boyfriend from those days kicks himself EVERY d@mn day for letting me "slip away..." and my name's not even MaryAnne! :)
Back in the day, Boston was one of my favorite bands. Their sound was heavy yet at the same time refined and sophisticated and as someone else stated - great vocals.
I can understand taking it out of front page...and just putting it into chat...deleting? Stupid on all counts. As stated in the previous thread...I am wrecked over this..Brad had one of my 3 favorite voices in rock next to Geddy Lee of Rush and Freddie Mercury of Queen.
Huge loss for rock and roll...sad day.
What? Unless you add David Lee Roth to that mix, we can't be friends, LOL! :)
Dude, chill. There's already several threads running on this.
I will admit "Amanda" was over-played on the radio and didn't like it; but I digress.
RIP Mr. Delp.
I am completely chill...I got annoyed (rightly so) that a thread that I posted with 40 responses and conversations going on was deleted for no reason 30 mins before any other threads began. To me it was a pointless reaction and action on the part of the mods is all I am saying.
He was in a bad accident in November...I wonder if a blood clot formed over time and got him?
Beatle Juice, New Englands Beatles tribute band, has postponed the concert scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 the Rochester Opera House because of injuries sustained by lead singer Brad Delp. Delp is also the lead singer for the band BOSTON.
John Muzzy, the spokesman for Beatle Juice released the following statement on November 26
Brad was in a motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon. He was coming over a hill and his brakes failed to stop him from going into a suddenly stopped car and to subsequently flip over the car.
The motorcycle ended up on his left leg and he sustained some injuries including many stitches and splinting of his left hand, loss of nail on his left foot and a fair amount of whiplash related injuries.
Brad wanted me to extend his deepest regrets in not being able to do the show this weekend and wanted me to assure you and the folks in Rochester that we would make every effort to make up this show ASAP. As you can imagine we are all relieved there was no life threatening injuries sustained.
MFH's thread was the first. He posted it to Front Page, maybe it belonged there, maybe not. If not, it is possible to just move it from there. Howver, it was deleted completely with the notation "not front page material".
Another memorable part of our youth is gone.
The mods here can be such a******* sometimes. Must be religious nut cases....
He's gone
remember Maverick did it with "Goose" ya gonna have to "move on"... and "Hang On Loosely"
by the way I know that's 38 Special...
I saw them shortly after their debut album came out....they played side A & B....then end of show.
"I close my EYEEESSSS....."
RIP
"A Man I'll Never Be" is my favorite Boston song. So sad. I saw them in 77. What a great show.
