Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Sounds like good news!! Glad y’all had a good trail ride.
Yeah, SirKit always says that the only way we’d ever have any water problems is if we have a flood of Biblical proportions.
same here... we’re at 1450’, and on top of a ridge...
Bagnell Dam is about 35 miles away, and that’s holding back a lot of H2O, but we’re too high and too far away for it to concern me...
the New Madrid Fault, however...
That sounds pretty awesome! Hope you get it...
We’ve been playing four-man World of Warcraft with the bothers all day. Got the new computer, which will eventually be our multimedia server, up. Belldandy will someday be a terabyte raid array but for now she’s just a good game box.
Tomorrow, more of same. Too cold for the range, so...
its never to cold fer the range...
or you could teach them a few chapters from The Anarchist's Cookbook
I believe that, with Word2k, you can do a Detect & Repair. Back up your email and go to Help->Detect & Repair. You'll probably need the CD --- the program may (or may not) ask you to insert the CD.
If the Detect & Repair doesn't fix the problem, then and only then do a reinstall, and only of Word. To un/reinstall Word, insert the Office CD. Don't let it install anything; make it do a change/delete of an Office component, and don't be shy about cancelling out if necessary.
Trixie was especially guilty of mixing the most ornate language with the most cussing.
Did you ever think about living in a place/time like Deadwood? I'm fascinated by the 1870s-1880s time period here in the US, with the end of the Civil War, the conquest of the West, and the population shift.
Heady times ...
All this blather about global warming, when there are so many more tangible and likely threats to worry about ...!
I think I told you my story about qualifying with the M-1D at Camp Grayling in -20 temps. I improvised a new course of fire for qualifying.
It's 19 degrees out, light snow on the ground, and expected to be 20 degrees below normal for another week. It was 50 and sunny for the Tigers opener on Monday (they lost), and their other home games have been frozen out.
Morning ALL,
Overtaxed, you best wear your mittens and scarf on your walk, it’s brisky out there, windy enough gypsygirl didn’t mind the abreviated constitutional this morning.
If the New Madrid fault hiccups, we’d all know it. btw, earthquake insurance is only a couple bucks a year.
Morning - CONGRATS on the newjob. The photos of the trail ride were great, amazing amount of timber down from your storm.

Global Warming!
I was going to do the morning walk thing but Weatherunderground sez it’s 21 degrees out. Think I’ll pass.

it's like $15 a year here... well werth it...
It’s not so much the 21 degrees as it is that friggin’ wind blowing 20 mph at of the NNW!! It was a very, very cold walk! LSA
At least you can watch Ten Commandments without extensive storm coverage tonight. :)
It was a gorgeous day yesterday... upper 70s... almost too hot.
Where’d this rain come from today? Poor Rosie’s never gonna get her lawn mowed :~]
