I passed up buying some Persian art at an antique show; actually, just one page that had been torn out from a volume on Persian birds.

All the birds were illustrated by hand using exquisite paints and styles. I can't express the skill and care that went into that page—just $75.

Then too, I'd wonder if that Koran had a different take than today's versions.
