As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Dateline, Denver...
A bill has been introduced in Congress that would bar illegal aliens from getting credit cards. This is in response to it becoming known that Bank of America--one of the largest banks in the United States--had been handing out credit cards to illegal aliens.
Meanwhile, in Massachusetts, a raid by ICE netted 325 suspected illegal aliens.
Eko-wackos, call your office. After 2005, a year with a rediculously high number of Atlantic hurricanes, it was postulated that globull warming would result in higher and higher casualty losses. The year 2006 has now been reported as "well below the long-term trend".
Also on the globull warming front--the national average temperature for the entire United States in February 2007 was the 34th coolest in the last 113 years.
Sports Illustrated is even getting into the nonsense. They have an article out now, entitled "Going, Going Green--As Global Warming Changes the Planet, it is Changing the Sports World." In it is written: "In the last year and a half, scientists have noticed that once indestructible ice sheets on Greenland and Antarctica have begun to creep toward the sea." Note to editors of Sports Illustrated--use the brains God gave you for once for something other than oogling the Swimsuit Issue! If the ice sheets are creeping toward the ocean (as in NOT RETREATING!), then snowfall is INCREASING! It has to, it's the only way glaciers get bigger! Snowfall DOES NOT increase when it gets warmer! DUH!
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!
Good morning!
Morning from frozen New Joisey
LOL. I think you should write a book about globul warming, Chair. You're comments about it crack me up!
And so are you going to cancel your subscription to SI?
A subscription comes to our house and not a single male who reads it has mentioned the article. HMMMMMM!!
That swimsuit issue is coming out soon. I imagine they don't want to make cancel a subsciption; I mean, we ALL have to make sacrifices for the cause, but let's not get ridiculous! LOL!
Anyway, Jack has one more Eagle-required merit badge, Citizenship in the Community. The troop is doing that one in April. Then it is the Eagle Project and he will achieve his goal, Eagle before age 15!
Yeah, Poppa is proud!
Selective outrage, I would think.!!
It went fine. Won't know anything for a couple of days.
I'm tired. A bit of lunch, and then a nap.bbl
Yay!
Enjoy that nap!
See Y'all later!
good job!
you should be proud!
Don't know-I don't drink
(silly, crazy, wild, wierd?)
Prager interviewing another skeptic on GW : Christopher Horner, Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming from the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
Now I need to carry a ladder up from the basement...or maybe wait til tomorrw....hmmm...
IOW, Co2 emissions may or may not have caused increase in temps...ridiculous...And the "increase" is pretty negligible to begin with..
Okay, I have to go get that ladder...
Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming
We all should be prepared to answer some of these idiotic claims...logic and facts may not sway the true believers, but there are others still on the fence or more persuadable, at least...
Picked up anew biog. of Jimmy Stewart which should make nice, escapist reading for awhile, and Toby, a new book: Vanished Mississippi Gulf Coast by Jim Fraiser.
Pretty sad documentation, but it also speaks to the resilience of the folks down there.
There've been hurricanes there before...
Did I ever tell you that my father spent a lot of time in Biloxi? His grandparents had a home there. Anyway, about 1912, before my father's older brother was born, my grandmother left NO ahead of a hurricane, and went over to Biloxi. Her parents and her husband said "Stay in NO", but she was determined, thinking B would be safer, and sure enough NO escaped, and Miss. Gulfcoast was hit, including my grandmother in the house there.
