The point is to not miss any visual information. It's like reading a novel with random words left out or seeing painting with the sides cut off and its proportions changed.
I would agree. For special effects & epic type movies.
However, from my experience, most of the movies nowadays (probably about 75% to 85%) aren't worth the expense of theater tickets. And as far as distractions go, some theaters are the absolute worse as far as noisy kids AND ADULTS!
*Sigh*...she dumped me. That's why I haven't been around in a while--haven't been much in the mood for chatting.
On the plus side, I'm *this close* to getting a fantastic job. But at the moment it's a waiting game.
Awe, I am sorry Phil.. bummer.
You are smart, nice & good looking. They will be beating a path to your door!
Good luck with the job
I once viewed all 6 Star Wars movie from beginning to end, starting with The Phantom Menace and ending with Return of the Jedi, watching one per night. Sadly, I was thoroughly "Star Wars-ed out" by the time I reached Empire Strikes Back.
I think next time I'll divide it up better. Maybe three each night one week, and the next three the following week or something.
I love it:)
Well, it took me 22 years to find the first one, hopefully it won't take me that long to find the next one.
BTW...did you know Alan Arkin has been cast as the Chief in the "Get Smart" remake?
Our cinemas showed the previous ones with I think one or 2 weeks break before showing the new episode.
Hi Snugs.. you know technically we use theater for live performances also.
the building is also referred to as the movie "theater".
We use the term Movies and slang flicks most commonly.
The term Picture Show was once used commonly but not much any more.
Thank you for an absolutely BEAUTIFUL thread! I'm surprised to learn that Alan Arkin made so many movies. Great job, Dolly!

no , I didn't know that. I like his work. I think we were all shocked that he got the Oscar, however. He did a good job in the movie but Eddie Murphy gave the performance of his life .. and I love his work also
Great job, Dolly! WOW!
Thank you Ma'am!
A lot of the work will be able to be used every month (the table set ups & some HTML)
It will be a piece of cake next month (cough, cough)
Hi thank you.. and I was just -catching up on some past threads & saw you have been sick.. I am so sorry.. I hope you are better.. did you have all this while your daughter was visiting?
I've been hearing a theory that it was the release of "Norbit"...which was trashed on all fronts...that ruined Eddie's chances. Don't know if it's true.
No, right after she left --- she unknowlingly brought a Carribean flu here with her. She got really sick the last day she was here and all her children were sick the whole time she was gone. I can still only manage to eat biscuits and rice.
No, not late at all
You are first to answer!
