As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Algore won an oscar for his docupropaganda for best documentary. When asked if he had an important announcement for the world, he started to announce whether or not he would run for the Presidency, but was yanked from the stage before he could say much of anything.
Three Arab countries between Israel and Iran (not sure which, but presume they are Jordan, Iraq, and Kuwait) have granted the air force of the Jewish State overflight rights.
Hitlery has indicated that it is off-limits for good DemoncRATS to discuss her husband's Impeachment during the campaign.
NASA has written procedures for an astronaut "losing it" in space. It involves the American product that solves all problems--duct tape.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Am I missing something today? I don't see anyone posting.
ML... the new 9ft Steinway was acquired in trade for a 9ft Baldwin. The piece played the other evening was the Wanderer Sonata by Schubert.
Jem & pb... here are the birds I've seen today here in sunny sw FL: Osprey(s); Eagle; wood stork; white pelican; ibis(s) (40); little green heron; great blue heron; great white egret; mallard duck(s); cormorant(s); anhinga(s); sand hill crane(s).
... and several manatee.
There is an osprey nest about 100 yards away. The eagle must have seen the egg(s) and was diving on the nest. Both osprey (male and female) were chasing it away... one staying on the nest, the other pursuing the eagle. At this moment there are about a dozen ibis resting at the edge of the water about 40 yards from me, along with a small heron and a few ducks.
Quite a place to be to watch birds. On the golf course the other day there must have been more than 100 (didn't count them) in a combination of white pelican, wood storks, egret, heron.
Toby... how are you my good friend? So happy to hear of your joy with Jason, and all of your other adventures.
I am just fine, spring coming real soon, will be busy in the garden, yard, get my tan back, love that sun. I know it will come soon as the red breast robins are everywhere, a sure sing of spring.
Just kidding...I love the posts and discussion. Last week I had the opportunity to hear Richard Goode perform...Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Debussy...there may have been one more...but it was an interesting concert...all miniatures...no one big piece either before or after the intermission. The audience was spellbound thru out, and I felt so lucky to have gone & heard such exquisite music-making.
Now to switch topics, and go downhill rapidly...Obama is getting a lot of play on the radio here because he's speaking in cleveland tonite at Tri-C. They call it a rally, and it sounds like he'll have lots of young "skulls full of mush" to hear him. UGH!!!
Hi Toby....I've been on FR...just mostly lurking on the terror threads.
Obama is this years Howard Dean.
That must have been quite a sight to watch the two osprey parents defending their nest.
I love to watch raptor birds too Jemian. Particularly on the prairie where they often grab their prey and fly very high and then drop it in order to kill it.
I once saw a hawk swoop down just yards from me (I was in a car) and snatch up a snake. I couldn't believe how quickly it dove in it's attack and grabbed it up. The snake didn't stand a chance with an attacker that fast.
Toby, those CDs are wonderful - enjoy them...A few weeks ago I met an older gentleman...we got to talking about music, and he quietly confessed he loved listening to Jo Stafford. It was very sweet. And I was able to tell him I have one of her CDs also.
Whoa...I need to remind myself not to mess with you....:-)
Clinton 1992 slick.
Ummmm, one 'slick' callingf another 'slick'.
prairie and Jemian...My family had just finished burying my father on a hill...beautiful spot, and as we looked off to the east on a lovely morning, there was a hawk circling above the trees. My father loved to watch birds, and often pointed them out to us. I guess his favorite was the southern mockingbird tho. Such a creature! It made him laugh!
got to go...
great news
Lord knows most of the media listening public needs to hear something other than the lazy media communists.
This is absolutely fantastic news!
Watching the bird migration back north has been pretty exciting down here.
One of the musicians who was at our party last night was kind enough to take several pictures and emailed them to us. What a riot! My, we had a wonderful time!
SO WHAT AM I...........CHOPPED LIVER???
;-)
Uitility company came out & disentangled 2 big branches from power lines...........next they will have the phone company come out & do the same..........our tree is a total mess..............it looks like it exploded. Branches everywhere, falling or fallen.:(
