Supermodel Elle Macpherson is desperate for a man in her life, but is struggling to find anyone who will go out on a date with her.
The Australian beauty, who is nicknamed The Body, has been celibate for two years, and is still single despite attempting to chat up guys herself in a bid to get a date.
She moans, "I just don't get men hitting on me. It's crazy - but apart from a brief romantic intermission last summer, I have been single and celibate for two years. How boring is that?
"I'm a hopeless flirt. I'll go up to a guy and say, 'I think you are so beautiful,' but it doesn't work." (c)
... so she finally came to her senses and left that poor, crazy idiot and one day she'll meet a smart man who'll realize he's found a treasure.
(I know a couple of those stories.)
Sounds like someone found Mr. Right.
Good for you.
Nah, I have no respect for her after she did that nude shoot for Playboy.
Wall, first day in the office. Not much to do. No email yet. Havne't put my Brittney Spears poster up yet.
Being down there in Texas as you are it's understandable that you wouldn't know this....but *real* Irish almost universally have (very) fair skin, freckles and red or strawberry blonde hair.I know because my family is as Irish as they come and with the exception of a couple of "black Irish" (with green eyes),we all fit the description I gave above.
But then,we're not usually thought of as right thinking or good hearted. ;-)
That should get an email or two headed your way.
Well,Teddy Kennedy has blue eyes.....(sorry,couldn't help it)
But seriously...my experience with the very large contingent of Micks we have around Boston, blue eyes tend to go with the "standard" Irish and green tends to go with the "black" Irish.
I'll take a course in genetics and get back to you. ;-)
Good for you.
Could be.....
He's pretty sweet.
;-)
try not to get fired for sexual harrassment...give it a day or two
It worked with when you did it me, you big gay boy.
Now I want to watch her movie "Sirens" again.
I think most Texans of Irish decent are Black Irish and this one has blue/hazel eyes, much like my Brothers and Father.
Good point. My sister was/is really lovely. When she was younger nice guys would be afraid to approach her. The only guys who would ask her out would be arrogant jerks who thought they were God's gift. Even when she got the nerve to approach some nice guy, often the nice guys would flee in terror. I saw it a million times--men would have no trouble approaching me and I was nowhere near as pretty. (Also helped that I'm not pushing six feet tall.) She eventually ended up marrying one of the arrogant jerks out of desperation and you can imagine how that turned out.
My guess, assuming there's any truth to this, is that she just has extremely high standards --- and at 40+ is finding that the men who meet them have mostly gotten snapped up by other women.
Or if she just has ordinary standards and expects a man to be kind, faithful, and employed, she may find that most of them have gotten snapped up.
