We're going to have 19 months of this. The inevitable whining:
"...I don't like Guiliani on gun control..."
" I don't like McCain's campaign finance reform..."
"...Romney's no good on illegal immigration "
" Duncan Hunter's teeth are crooked "
Blah blah blah blah blah
Bottom line is this: You need to ask yourself, for whatever problem or issue is most important to you, are Democrats the answer?
By all means, support your guy in the primaries. But when Nov '08 gets here, you need to hold your nose if necessary and support the R candiate. Any of this ..I'm staying home to send a message and teach them a lesson nonsense, and you'll wake up to "President elect Clinton"
LOL..
"On one table are some cold Big Macs to eat. That represents the Republicans."
I am too, but come dinnertime I'll eat a Big Mac over cowpies if those are the choices.
You forgot to add, "Paid for by the Gays and Abortionists for Rudy Giuliani Committee."
I know who Giuliani is. Who's Guiliani?
Gilligan ping! There seems to be a correlation between spelling and content, but I haven't collected any precise statistics yet ...
Did you know Duncan Hunter's teeth are crooked and he wears tube socks? I confess I wouldn't recognize him if he showed up on my doorstep to pick up his Girl Scout cookies!
Are you actually saying that you would have preferred John Kerry or Algore to George W. Bush? I'm sorry but I can't even imagine having either one of them as POTUS.
Wanna be on my Gilligan ping list?
Yes. Yes, I do!
>>>Bottom line is this: You need to ask yourself, for whatever problem or issue is most important to you, are Democrats the answer?<<<
MUSLIM JIHAD.
DEMOCRATS? TURN ON YOUR TV, MORON!
I've just made it an official list :-).
Oh, well that does it for him. There's no way we're having crooked teeth in the White House.
Well said!
ROFL!
He does look a little... rumpled.
I know he doesn't have a snowball's chance, but Tancredo's got my vote.
It is not about "teaching them a lesson". It is about being unable to vote for a person or people because of their prior ACTIONS while in office. Giuliani is a no-go, as is McCain. Romney is iffy.
I, and many like me, vote based on a person's integrity and stand on important issues. If the Repubs nominate someone with a distasteful past record who lacks a modicum of integrity, then they will get pasted in the election.
The Dims aren't the answer, but they sure aren't the problem either.
We already KNOW where they stand.
We expect people we put into office to be representative of our political ideals. The Republican leadership has a history of telling us "Just support so and so and things will be fine"
Well, things aren't fine. Now it's time to pay the fiddler. I personally will not vote "anyone but hillary".
This time there's going to be a staunch principled tough conservative or I'll let the party win or lose without me.
I think quite a number of people think like I do and if that is the case, the republican party will remain in the minority.
You will be in exclusive company on that ping list.
If I see Comma Queen make a Gilligan post, I will be in typso heaven.
