In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Tomorrow Im bringing in chains, so beware.

Thank you, xs, for this WFTD. It describes us to a T.
Happy birthday, Vast.
A skeptical person might be ratiocynical about just how many synonyms are possible for a single word .... 8<)
(WhyisaTexasgirlsinacallwhenshetalksonthephonewithherMarineinPA?)
Being of ratiocinative mind is of no use when trying to understand the thought process of the left-leaned.
Happy Birthday!
From the article:
"More than 50,000 adult noncitizen taxpayers in those two districts are disenfranchised by citizenship voting laws," said Cheryl Wertz, of New Immigrant Community Empowerment, referring to today's special election for council seats in Brooklyn and Staten Island.
It is very simple -- you can't be "disenfranchised" if you were never "enfranchised" in the first place. If you aren't a citizen, you aren't "enfranchised". If you want to vote in our elections, then go through the requirements to become a citizen. If you aren't willing to do that, then shut the hell up or go the hell back to whatever country where you want your citizenship to remain.
Thanks Gabz.
Thanks J.
Besides also being Pancake Day, today is celebrated as Paczki Day* in some quarters, so everyone go grab some donuts and enjoy!
I guess Fat Tuesday is the day to carefully ration out all of your native sin.
How ironic that I am getting lots of cake and donuts and other pastries on my Fat Tuesday birthday.
Finally! a word i like. :)
A Mardi Gras virthday is like carte blanche for je ne sais quoi, n'est-ce pas?
Me, too. And I have a girl friend from grade and high school coming to visit and can't get anything done. She's here a lot, so I'll call her.
What do you think?
A++++ for you!
