In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Tomorrow Im bringing in chains, so beware.

Now look at Cyber and xs, they could be grandmas and grandpas to us. Hehehehehe! Uh-oh, I'm in trouble.
I assure you m'dear, there is nothing "good" about this morning.
The wind is blowing at 30mph, there is something wrong with the heat (i.e. I HAVE NONE) and I have been sneezing practically non-stop since 5:30.........I'm just plain miserable this morning.
Ms. Slip,
Shall we hold a party for the old folks?? LOL
I find the thing that helps me the most during heated discussions, especially here on Free Republic, is to analyze what about my opposition's posts makes me angry.
Once I've studied that, and tried to neutralize it intellectually, I can proceed to deal with the subject matter.
It is not easy to set aside anger, but vituperation and invective do not persuade, they only heighten temperaments.
Cold analysis gets to the heart of the matter, and also cools the rhetoric.
Is that my cake and Edith? I hate to have to choose one or the other, but everyone knows you can't have your cake and Edith too.
Happy Birthday to all the rest of the February WFTD birthday bunch.
I may not be exactly a spring chicken, but the candles on my cake didn't set off the fire alarm either.
Well what fun is that? 'specially when it's a troll...?
Thanks for the piece of cake, hope you have a grand day.
