The tomb of pharaoh Seti I , who ruled Egypt for 13 years from 1291 to 1278 BC, was permanently closed to tourists in 1991. Dupret, whose personal mission is to photograph for posterity all the sites listed World Heritage Fund by UNESCO, was granted this once in a lifetime opportunity in November 2002, while visiting Egypt for a meeting with CULTNAT (National Center for the Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage) in Egypt. CULTNAT director Dr. Fatih Saleh offered Dupret the chance to photograph the tomb and share it with others on www.world-heritage-tour.org, where one can view an interactive map outlining the structure of the tomb.

The way it's supposed to work is, the mouse pointer allows the viewer to "pull" the image to left, right, up, and down. I'm using a 1999 Mac under OS 9.2.2, and it worked fine. :') Someone will come along with a helpful tip I'm sure.

Seti I's tomb was discovered by Giovanni Belzoni in 1817. I highly recommend the book "Belzoni's Travels" edited by Alberto Siliotti. Belzoni's drawings and journals of his travels in Egypt are very impressive. I also recommend "The Royal Tombs of Egypt" by Zahi Hawass. I got it for a Christmas gift and have only been able to leaf through it so far, but it contains a multitude of photographs and several centerfold photographs of the various tombs including Seti I.

Right click/copy the URL in the pic at #1.
Open Quicktime.
Select File, then 'New URL' and Go.
Use mouse to scroll around.

Took me a couple of tries too.
