Heck South Park had a joke about him being way too old to be on that network years ago!

How on EARTH did this Colmes-like corpse hang on so long there? One of the eterrnal mysteries... MTV constantly shifting their content to fit each succeeding class of teenagers, yet this old fart (who NO ONE was a fan of) stayed cemented in place for 20 years.
He had some exec's pictures, that's for sure.

In Kurt's hay day he got all the good interviews. Madonna, Pearl Jam, just about anyone who was hot at the moment. When Cobain committed suicide he went on MTV live several times to warn of the affects of depression and urging anyone considering doing the same "DON'T!"
I liked him. He gave a little credibility to MTV. Their loss!

Martha Quinn...THUD

For a while, she was the only good reason to watch MTV...
Maybe we need a Martha Quinn rule on FR, similar to the Ann Coulter rule...

I guess I am getting old and I am MTV generation, but I don't know this guy at all. Where is Martha Quinn when you need her...

On my Beavis & Butt- Head DVD, it had a TV special involving B & B having Thanksgiving in New York with Loder. Most of the special was B & B making fun of Loder in various ways, such as:
Butt- Head: So, Loder, have you ever scored with that Tabitha Soren chick?
Loder: What, no!
Butt- Head: Have you ever scored with that Idalis chick( I think that's what he said)?
Loder: NO!
Butt- Head: Have you ever scored?
Loder: Um, well, that's...
Butt- Head: Whoa, Beavis, Loder's never scored!

Didn't one of the Jerky Boys beat Kurt Loder up for looking at him sideways.

When it comes to
reputable sources of broadcast news, you think
Dan Rather I quit after reading that sentence. These two words reputable sources and Dan Rather should never be used in the same sentence. Just the old "fake but accurate" news again.

I'm old enough to remember when MTV played music videos.

My only awareness of MTV comes through seeing my son watching it when he was a teenager, which is now several years ago. Even back then, I wondered how this Kurt Loder guy could possibly remain on MTV, where he appeared totally out of place.
