Methadone is used as substitue Heroin. It was develpoed by the Germans to help treat heroin addicts. It is supposedly a safe substitue. One of its early users was Luftwaffe Chief Goering, who was a drug addict himself.

Miracle 2000 Total Body nutrition -- I can't believe it's not butter -- Slimfast -- Yogurt -- Worcestorshire sauce -- methadone.
That's a healthy diet!
(Wonder what she put the worcestorshire sauce on?)

Somebody said on one of the cable shows that there's no cause to prescribe methadone as a painkiller since less addictive meds are available.
In fact he argued that it would be wrong to use it that way. In the words of Dr Henry Lee..."something wong here". Not that it's never done...but whoever this was viewed it as malpractice. Can't recall who.
But look, she was on all sorts of meds, painkillers, antidepressants and was seen in the hotel lounge downing double shots of whiskey. This is an abuser.
So you give her...methadone?
What's she in pain over? What was Daniel in pain over? No, I don't think so...

It was the spray butter that did her in... that stuff is evil. ;-) A plausible hypothesis.
BTW... refrigerated Worcestershire sauce? I don't recall seeing a "refrigerate after opening" warning.
I can think of two non-mutually-exclusive explanations:
1) It was a convenient place to keep the Worcestershire sauce, especially in a bedroom.
2) ANS was a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

I think they ruled out drug overdose by pills as none were in here stomach.
The size of the Methodone bottle is what the pharmacy uses, not people.

I thought the idea behind methadone for heroin users - was that it blocks the "high" that heroin normally gives, so the users have less cravings to seek it.
To: txrangerette
exactly right - why are they on methadone?

If you want to watch people panic, squirt just a small amount of mustard on the floor of a day-care center.

Methadone is a synthetic opiate. It was first synthesised by German scientists during World War II because of a shortage of the morphine that was used as a painkiller. It produces similar effects to heroin or morphine.
Taking extra methadone above the recommended dose or mixing it with other depressants such as temazepam, alcohol or even heroin is very dangerous. This can - and does - commonly result in overdose and death of the user.
I have heard of people with severe back pain getting it...chronic pain patients are gaining admittance to methadone maintenance programs not because they are addicts, but only for pain management. The apparent reason is that these patients lack either access to other programs or physicians who are willing to use opioid analgesics, especially in high doses.
I don't know why they had but from what I have read it isn't something you want to take long term. Some heroin addicts can't stop using so they go on a methadone maintenance program and can be on it for the rest of their lives. Others use it to get off heroin and its reduced until they are on a low dosage and then finally are able to stop. A doctor had to prescribe it or a clinic if they were getting it legally. http://www.medsch.wisc.edu/painpolicy/publicat/97apsmm.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methadone

I didn't even know who this woman was other than someone reminded me she was the one that was suing a rich husbands estate and said something like "it's very expensive being me".
So, with no axe to grind, I say this: I have been offered no CREDIBLE reason to believe this photo is authentic.

Methadone is not an opiate antagonist, like Narcan. Methadone will definitely get you high. It is an extremely potent opiate narcotic and highly regulated, at least here in the US. Methadone clinics are only supposed to give the addicts enough to maintain their tolerance level, not make them high, just enough so they can function without withdrawal symptoms.
