Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Waiting for press conference from hospital spokesman, per Fox News.
Someone I was watching a couple of weeks ago, talking about Lindsey Lohan, said when these people are the money makers that people are afraid to tell them no or really allow them to seek help... there is too many people depending on them for support and jobs... same thing with Elvis, no one said no!
I understand what you are saying, but the definition of a "tragedy" in the classic Greek theater was a story in which a fatal flaw in the protagonist's character brings him or her down. Anna Nicole Smith's life reflects that idea exactly.
Unfortunate indeed. Just saw Naked Gun 33-1/3 recently where she played the girlfriend to the gangster. That was a very funny series of movies, but thanks to OJ, there are no more of them. Now she's gone. Tragic.

I can only say that I thought she was a gold digger. I pray the Lord welcomes her to HIS kingdom and that she is at peace.
She did have pneumonia in November, didn't her lung collapse or something. She was also named in a lawsuit last week or so with Trimspa because some fatsos took the diet drug and didn't lose weight. Of course they probably took the diet drug with 3 supersized big mac meals and diet coke...
I've felt sorry for Anna Nicole for a long time, but I think her baby is too young to ever remember her. Hopefully the child will be put into the custody of someone sane and stay there forever. Anna Nicole's mother has been on tv recently --she's rather interesting, a retired police officer, of all things.
Cause of death? Flu may have played a part. I saw her just last night on Entertainment Tonight and she looked incredibly awful, seemingly so drugged up that she could hardly sit up and she was slurring her words. Perhaps some combo of flu meds and tranquillizers and antidepressants did her in. Accidental suicide, perhaps. One would think Howard K Stern's smart enough not to have offed her. He's already under suspicion of giving her son methadone, apparently the drug that killed him.
There are two more unsavory characters in this tragic soap opera.....I saw them last night on the same gossip show -- two middle aged fellows from Florida who own the house in the Bahamas ANS was staying in. As I recall, they had thrown her out, or were on the verge of doing so for some cacamamie trumped up reason that nefarious things were taking place in their house. One claimed that he was the baby's father. Judging by his appearance, that might be the case. I vaguely remember that the two of them were from Hollywood, FL, the city where ANS died.
May God rest her soul.

His widow now represents the estate. I don't know about children, but I could google it, but I'm not that curious.

I just heard that... and in the Bahama's it's who is married to the mother and he signed the Birth Certificate... the marriage may be legal in the Bahamas, but everything I've read said it isn't in the USA.
