Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
But I saw her, in the funeral tape(just after the funeral, probably when this still photo was taken) take Howard's arm and pat him on the back a few times. I really did see that! Honest.
There's time of death and "Official" time of death. She was declared dead at the hospital, I think, more than an hour after than she was found "not breathing".
Shelley has hired two prominent Fort Lauderdale attorneys, Walter "Skip" Campbell, a former state senator, and Kelly Hancock, a former homicide prosecutor.
Campbell said he could not discuss many details of the case but said Shelley wanted police and Broward prosecutors to examine some evidence and address some concerns.
"I really can't tell you about the investigation but there are some things that we think are very important that we think people should look into. No one knows what's on that laptop because very few people have seen it," Campbell said.
Oh, I agree. I don't think the illegal vs. prescription drug angle is relevant. I just found it interesting that a "stash" of drugs was found. Also, HKS could have easily left a "stash" of prescription bottles around in the room (as the article indicates) and taken away others. Who knows.....
I am SO behind on the posts today. Re: rigor mortis- I don't think any had set in yet. Too early. I recall Taz or Bridgette saying her jaw was slack, and it flopped back open.
Also, guessing the purple splotches were just a result of blood/circulatory disorder, possibly caused by illness/combo of meds that caused her death. Either that, or honestly nothing too important.
I didn't like his one paragraph about never allowing Dannielynn to leave juristiction of the Bahamas.
I would feel better if I knew the ME had tested ANS' hair and nails. There are some poisons that degrade quickly leaving no trace or negligible traces in the blood. However, I know it will stay in hair and nails at least 6 months after death. What type of flora grows in Bermuda? Foxglove? Oleander? Castor beans?
If that was Doctor E on the last video Greata released this week, a plot between HKS and her would not be a shock to me at this time. She would certainly know what HKS could administer that might not be detected in autopsy... say a fatal suppository.
I just read back and found your post -- this is good Mom4K. I think that is very likely. HKS may have orchestrated it "accidentally on purpose" and made Anna think she was ultimately responsible. She may not have believed he would/could do it intentionally (which he may have), but in the end she felt it was HER drug addiction that caused his death. She certainly seemed to spiral downward after that.
The grief mixed with guilt must have been unbearable. And HKS used it to wield even more control over her, the finances etc...
The worry for HKS had to be what ANS would say at the upcoming inquest when pressured under questioning. I am sure HKS preferred that she not testify at all. And, maybe it was too much for her as well.
They cannot keep her in the Bahamas because of the International agreement they signed on to years ago (she is a US Citizen). Opri has thrown this International Agreement in front of the judge and I really think the judge is going over it during these 2 weeks. Opri is well aware of this International Agreement but I think that many of these Bahamian lawyers are not aware of it. There has never been a case like this in the Bahamas yet and everything is under a gag order in the Bahama's.
I guess I could write the lawyer from article and send him the a link to the International Agreement and see if he responds back to it.

It doesn't make a difference wrt whether or not Brigette would have a bodyguard. That's the thing i was getting at. First, there's the claim that Anna was left alone with only Taz. Then Brigitte enters the room at some point. Was Brigitte alone or did she have a bodyguard with her? If she had a bodyguard, did he accompany her to Anna's room? It may be nothing, but a lot of things that seemed like nothing at one point, later became 'something'. We're trying to get the time line straight and who all was present when and where.
I also read (don't remember where), that Anna said she was taking colon-cleansing laxatives as well as the TrimSpa. It was an interview with her about her weight-loss, I believe. I've wondered about her electrolyte balances and being dehydrated, which cause many problems, especially if combined with certain meds. Plus, her grapefruit consumption affecting meds' toxicity, plus her weakened immune system and body, etc. She could have had an allergic reaction to some meds on the day she died, too. I suspect the cause of death is a number of things combined, such as the above. Perper alluded to causes, and not just one cause.
I saw the still photo of Opri take his arm and seemingly comfort HKS too, but i think she was just making nice.

If the phone call that Howard received in the lobby was innocuous, then why would he be pacing back and forth as per Moe? Moe thought that is odd. So it's curious....

Those close to Anna -- including her good friend and confidante KHRISTINE EROSHEVICH -- tell ET she had been running a fever in the days before her death, which reached as high as 105°. She was given anti-viral medication and her temperature dropped below 100° -- allowing her to fly to Hollywood, Florida. Her fever had broken by Wednesday. That afternoon, she fell in the bathroom and hit her head. She said she was feeling fine, had a meal and went back to bed.
On Thursday, Eroshevich says she received the call from Howard. "I kept thinking maybe she isn't dead, maybe they saved her," she says. "And then I talked to a person at the Hard Rock and they said it didn't look good."
What i think is going on is the Feds or whatever authorities have a good case against "somebody" and they would rather that Dr. Perper puts "suspected homocide" or something like that on the autopsy report rather than "undetermined" or "natural causes" or "drug overdose" or anything which might not be as helpful to their prosecution as "suspected homocide" would.
We need somebody to make US a timeline, don't we?
