I have seen that bumper sticker...next time i see it I buy it: BE NICE TO YOUR CHILDREN, THEY DECIDE WHAT HOME YOU END UP IN!"
Thanks,
Lex
I loved him in Peyton Place too....and Paper Moon. I've always admired him and his acting ability. I may be way off base but I can't even imagine blaming my parents for what I became or didn't become or if I got mad easily or didn't.
This is wierd. Last night I was watching a recorded program from the UK. One of the men interviewed was named Ryan O'Neill (not sure of the exact spelling). The last thing I remember reading about the movie star Ryan O'Neal, was that he was very ill with Leukemia. Anyway, I made a mental note to do a Google search on him today to see what he was up to. Of course, being a senile citizen...oops, I mean senior citizen, I totally forgot to do it. Then I come across this blip on FR. Very strange. Well, at least I know he's still alive and kicking butt. According to IMBD, his Leukemia is in remission.
He beats all his kids. Any new news?
Damn it! Beat me to it.
Oh well, to quote "What's Up Doc?"
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
History tends to repeat itself.
I looked it up. His only child with second wife Leigh Taylor Young is Patrick O'Neal, a sometime actor who is married to Rebecca DeMornay. Patrick seems to be the best adjusted of O'Neal's children, but he had very little to do with his father while growing up.
I just read that passage this morning and I was impressed with the rest of that verse: sins of the father are passed down to those who hate him (God). But not necessarily down to those who love God. In fact, blessings are passed down through thousands (of years? generations?). I hadn't really grasped that before. If Ryan knew Christ, his heritage would improve greatly. Not saying our kids can't get into trouble but...
Or his son will kill him...
Me, too. I love hugging my big beautiful sons and their wives and children.
His daughter said he smoked dope with both his kids when they were children. How did he ever think they'd not become addicts?
Yep.
"She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet." -- Proverbs 31:21
You know, if we determine a generation is 25 years, then there have been only 80 generations between today and the birth of Christ. Doesn't that put things in perspective?
"Me, too. I love hugging my big beautiful sons and their wives and children"
Ahhh-the grandchildren. Aren't they just the greatest. My family is small, 2 sons, their wives and 4 grandchildren, one great grandchild. And so much love. What a Blessing!
He better watch out, ever see him in Barry Lyndon?
His stepson comes back to destroy him.
the "kid" is 42. He has always been a problem and in trouble with the law. I don't know why you would just go and blame Ryan without knowing the whole story.
Do you believe these people? Convicting Ryan O'Neal before knowing the whole story. Sometimes children just plain rotten. I think Griffin is the poster boy for this.
It sure is. It hurts when they go astray but Grandmas love them no matter what they do (and mothers, too). Love, Mxxx
Fox News just said Ryan O'Neal claims he was protecting himself and his son's pregnant girlfriend, and her 'unborn child' from his son who was swinging a firepoker at them. Apparently the girlfriend was hit in the head by the poker, and that is when Ryan went to get the gun.
yes, it does. And blessings abound for our children and their children, and on and on, when we have Christ in our lives and pray for our descendants to also have Christ. I pray that way all the time, for all the children I will never know, until Christ returns. Mxxx
