Pathetic... Wearing the flag of Texas on their pathetic ''sheriff/deputy sheriff' shirts was a disgrace to not only Texas, but to the law enforcement community (The laws of the state of Texas/U.S.A. prevent all of the actions portrayed in the movie from happening... then again, it IS only a movie... but it went beyond the line) . THEN they added the Texas license plates to the vehicles involved in the movie...
After (and during) watching the movie, I was much appalled by the HOLLYWOOD stereotype of Texans (we talk like hicks, rednecks, trailer trash, uneducated idiots from hell).... As a matter of fact, I thought that Texans should make an equal film set of the HOLLYWOOD set. Start making movies worldwide (international, like HOLLYWOOD) does, showing 'our' view of peeps outside of Texas.
I am sick and tired of people stereotyping Texans as stupid, hillbilly, racist, uneducated pigs.... I think that a New Texas Movie Industry should stereotype HOLLYWOOD as the stupid, babykilling, hippie, homosexual, uneducated, socialist, NAZI, propagandist, terror mongering, surrendering/white flag people of the greatest country to ever exist...
On on positive note (the ONLY positive note for the movie), 1 person stands up to the 'bad' people...
I know Texas law, I was a deputy sheriff in the state of Texas.... The movie throws all of that out the window to make the impression that Texans are 'hillbillies' and uneducated trailer trash.
PHUQ HOLLYWOOD and it's followers...... BAN them for life.... Heck, let's invade HOLLYWOOD and reduce their slime.... freakin' traitors.
I'm proud of Texas just like you're proud of Japan.
Hollyweird does produce a lot of garbage, but this is not "news."
Have a good evening sir.
Oh, I forgot to mention, for those that didn't know, the actual story happened in Tennessee.. was a true story (which HOLLYWOOD TOTALLY phuqed up)... Sheriff Buford Pusser fought a local crime ring (alcohol and gambling) to end up losing his wife in a coordinated hit... he survived the first round... but ended up losing his life in the end..
And NONE of this took place in TEXAS!
Hollywood is more a part of France then it is of the USA. I only live about 40 miles from all those fruitcakes and I'm ashamed of them.
I thank God we still have states like Texas.
It wouldn't be a stereotype or an exaggeration, it would be the truth.
I was a cop in Texas, too, and I know not all foiks in Texas are hicks.
Course, that's cause some of us came from up north. :-)
(Ducking for cover from a Texas sized ash tray).
It's been done.
