Sixty-five-year old Von Pardue was injured when a pit bull attacked him on his morning walk today.
It did have its rabies vaccination at the shelter before being released back to the owner, police said.
The dog was released? When I grew up, once you had a biter, you destroyed the dog.
That breed needs to be exterminated. That man is very lucky to be alive.
It had just been running at large when it was released. The attack came later.
Very true and thank God it wasn't someone who couldn't defend themselves against this 80 pound killing machine.
It was not released after a biting incident.
Living up to your nic? The guy killed the dog during the attack. No need to destroy it unless you mean burn the carcass or something.
Are you really wideawake? ;^)
The guy killed the dog during the attack.
"That breed needs to be exterminated"
I agree !
The victim killed the dog
The dog was picked up by Conroe Police Animal Patrol officers on Dec. 12 for running at large and was later claimed by the owner at the animal shelter in Conroe. It did have its rabies vaccination at the shelter before being released back to the owner, police said.
The dog had been picked up once before. Peter Principle mistakingly thought it had bitten once before. But it seems it had been picked up as a stray, given rabies shots at the center most likely because the sleeze bag owner had never had the vaccination done, and then returned to the owner.
The first poster expressed disbelief that the dog was still on the streets and able to attack this man after having been picked up earlier in a previous incident. I pointed out that the dog had been released after the previous incident because that previous incident was not a biting incident.
That breed needs to be exterminated. That man is very lucky to be alive.

Let's not go the holocaust route just yet Mein Fuhrer (kidding)
There has been some very irresponsible breeding going on with this breed, it's not the breeds fault. These dogs are a fighting breed and attracts a lot of thugs, drug dealers and low lifes as owners who do not know how to train and control a dog, or don't even want to.
This is not the only breed that will attack people, neglect or abuse any dog and you have a potential "killer" too.
The dog that attacked Pardue is a 2-year-old male, according to Conroe police officials. The dog was picked up by Conroe Police Animal Patrol officers on Dec. 12 for running at large and was later claimed by the owner at the animal shelter in Conroe.
Then there's the upside. A chasing dog, especially one with a name like "Satan", will make you a stronger rider.
My point still stands, then. It's his reading comprehension that's taxed - not mine.
Are you wideawake? ;^)
And you call this an argument against exterminating the breed?
