I have just stopped watching the latest downloaded 24 episode, a program that I've loved for years. What a load of bull!
The villain is a conservative hardliner and his toadie in the White House. Meanwhile the heroines are a very sexy Muslim, an ardent civil rights attorney, and a Hillary look/act alike.
YET . . . Rush KNEW this after the first airing and still advised his audience to keep watching because he really couldn't see anyliberal/politically correct shift. He says he is totally oblivious to viewing politically types/slants while watching 24????
After that first 24 this season, I couldn't understand the brouhaha of his conservative audience.
No wonder he was wined and dined by the producers -- he's a good firewall to insulate the show from conservative complaints.
Don't worry, truth has that pesky way of getting out.
Stop watching, then.
I said that I had in my post.
"The villain is a conservative hardliner and his toadie ..."
What makes you think the guy is a "conservative" .. to me he resemples the over-the-top dems who want to control everybody and everything. Remember, it was FDR who put all the Japanese in camps .. Bush didn't put all Muslims in camps.
I don't see it that way at all.
I think this all makes the show much more interesting. Take out all the things you dislike and it would be boring as hell.
I kinda thought the bad guy was the dude with the nukes.
Your taking it far too serious. They are giving both sides of the issue and the libs look like fools. In the end it is just entertainment.
Pray for W and Our Troops
You do know it's a TV show with lots of twists, turns, and those other things...Oh yes, cliff hangers.
Remember last year it was the president who so vaguely resembles Richard Nixon had many conservatives who confuse 24 with real life thinking they had gone liberal.
Jack is torturing his own brother to get information to stop terrorist bombers, how much more anti-liberal could it be?
When CTU starts forcing Americans to convert to the Religion of Death to stop terrorist attacks, then maybe it might have gone over to the liberal side of things. But even then it will still only be a TV show.
After the next slime attack, we wont have to go through the trouble of building camps, just diggin a lot of holes.
I kind of laughed when I heard that he was getting huge negative feedback from conservatives. Now, into Episode 6, you can see what threats the American way of life and the Constitution face from these hardline conservatives who want to arrest innocent people in the dead of night.
Total crap!
The liberal CAIR-like lady (Palmer's sister?) is showed as a fool. The debate in the White House is frankly a legitimate debate. I am surprised they are interjecting those terms 'bleeding heart liberal', and 'she's (muslim lady @ CTU) a Republican'. The show seemed to shy away from these things in previous seasons.

Inane comments like that really bother me (I know, I know, . . . "Stop reading it, then") It is really a foolish way to respond to criticism.
If someone complains about a restaurant, you're likely to say . . . "Well . . . stop eating there then."
It's a moronic way of stopping all criticism.
Why don't you run through the threads on this forum offering helpful suggestions like "Well . . . don't vote for Republicans then."
24 altered plotline for CAIR a couple years ago. They lost me as a steady viewer then.
It is somewhat interesting but in reality so little response could be formulated in a single day that I think the gimmick is overplayed.
Hey, I don't need violins. I can use the time more profitably -- one less vice.
