Richfield Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a Lunds grocery store in Richfield Saturday evening dressed as a ninja.
According to authorities, the suspect entered the store at about 10:30 p.m. dressed in skin-tight black clothing and armed with a samurai-style sword.
The suspect stood in line before he demanded the cashier turn over the money in the register, reportedly waving his sword in the air.
The cashier and other customers inside thought the suspect was pulling a prank. The cashier refused to give the suspect the money and he fled the scene.

I live about 1 mile from this store. I've shopped there occasionally. It's an upscale grocery store.
And yes, I have an alibi for last Saturday evening. LOL!
So...if you were in the store (either in line at the cash register or an employee) and someone walks in dressed as a ninja and demands cash, what would you do? Laugh it off - or turn over the money?
Comments or opinions - anyone?
Ninjas just don't get no respect.
I wonder if he went to the "Ask a Ninja" site and inquired how to rob a grocery store?
Reminds me of the Woody Allen movie, from back when he was funny, where he tried to rob a bank and they refused to give him any money because he misspelled "gun" in his note.
"I have a gub."
Pull out a BFG and invite him to a gunfight?
LOL!
Dunno, never been in that situation. I'm guessing the full costume caused too much laughter for the clerk and customers to feel that threatened, so even if any of them were armed the guy's body language/voice weren't enough to compensate for the hilarity he caused.

My family still tends to refer to guns as gubs, often to the confusion of those listening.
reportedly waving his sword in the air.
No one in line had a gun to put this idiot out of his misery??
"No one in line had a gun to put this idiot out of his misery??"
I don't shop there.
"It would have been more appopriate to dressed as a Swedish Chef"
Hell, if he was waving a ludafisk, I would have emptied the cash register and handed over my wallet to boot!
Damn ninjas up to no good again. You guys need to get on top of this right away. My neighborhood used to be safe and respectable until we got over run by ninjas...
