It's quotes weekend! What are your favorite quotes? Some of my favorites:

"I see America, not in the setting sun of a black night of despair ahead of us, I see America in the crimson light of a rising sun fresh from the burning, creative hand of God. I see great days ahead, great days possible to men and women of will and vision." --Carl Sandburg

"It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practice either of them." --Mark Twain

"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love." --Jane Austen

*grins* That's a great one. I always wanted to say the same thing to Leahy.

Do you date a lot? rarely? "whats a date?

What are your interests/hobbies?

okay.. now if you don't want to answer any of this, ilovew's request for favorite quotes seems easy, doesn't it?

Hi Dolly-- I saw this picture (the bottom one) of you and your friend and read your comments.

Sooo, B-I-G men ~~can~~ dance...

Just goes to show what "they" say is true, "Size doesn't matter." ;)

...of course, I am referencing a discussion 'bout dancing from a few weeks back...:)

A favorite quote: from President Bush or Ronald Reagan or any true patriot,

"God bless America."

Cartwheel time.

I just talked with my son.. and this has been the first time for over 4 months!!!!! LONG story but he & his wife had separated (I knew that), both had new YOUNGER honeys (I knew that) but due to giving up his cell phone & some of the craziness that accompanies this sort of thing, we were not able to connect.

He said he is very confused. Still loves his wife but also really cares for the younger gal (and she is only 20 & he is 34). I told him I was & HAVE BEEN praying for them all , and I have. I know of the difficulties with their marriage

I also talked with my 12 year old granddaughter & feel good that I have the cell phone numbers & am again connected. We talked a Long time & it was a very worthwhile & pertinent conversation.

Now I have a very nice guy in the next room who has been patiently waiting for me for a long time to go out for dinner & movie.. I told him I needed another 15 minutes & he said "fine", he is busy watching one of the TVs(actually a movie) that I never use. At this point will prolly skip the movie

Pix of Jeff & his family from 2 years ago, the last time I saw them. on my profile page and here is one of Jeff & Jayce

I will try to post another pix of a really heavy guy I danced with several times that evening. HE WAS EXCELLENT. He is tall but also, well, OBESE is the word. I only did fast dancing with him. Slow dancing (and I like to do ballroom) with some one that size is very uncomfortable for me.. physically & emotionally.

Dolly,

Thanks for the heads-up on daylight savings time. I'm not a morning person, so I couldn't care less whether it's dark in the morning. Having DSL begin earlier in March will give me a few more weeks when I can walk in the evenings after work. That time will help me be in better shape.

I've saved the snake bar. I'll have to use it somewhere.

Snakes are interesting creatures. I've heard that eating and digesting are very stressful on a snake's system. As a result, they like fasting a little bit because fasting gives their system a chance to rest.

One of my fantasies is to live in a house where I have biking, walking, and kayaking available without having to drive anywhere. I'd like to be able to walk and bike on roads or trails that are safe and scenic. Ideally, I'd like to be able to drag my boat across the back yard and launch. While you may not be able to launch your boat from home, your being able to take such great walks from home is great. I'd love to retire to a place like that someday.

Bill

She Sounds Like the Sweetest Kitty, and I Love the Adorable Pic I've Seen of her with the Flag; she has the Most Beautiful Face. How Thankful I am for these Wonderful Gifts from our King's Hand, that become Some our Most Treasured Friends in this Life. (My Fang-Face was One of the Best Friends I've Ever had!)

The Hiking Pics are Fabulous to me, because I'm still not Back to Hiking, Following my Back Surgery Last Year, so I can Pretend I'm there with you, Enjoying our Lord's Creation, whenever I See your Pics. I just Love them So, (((((Dolly))))); Thank you for this Blessing!
