It's quotes weekend! What are your favorite quotes? Some of my favorites:
"I see America, not in the setting sun of a black night of despair ahead of us, I see America in the crimson light of a rising sun fresh from the burning, creative hand of God. I see great days ahead, great days possible to men and women of will and vision." --Carl Sandburg
"It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practice either of them." --Mark Twain
"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love." --Jane Austen
ood morning. Big temp change here from yesterday. When I walked the dogs this morning it was 40! yesterday about 8. Nice & balmy - that will change as later a clipper is to descend again on us
Did you catch this? DST moved up three weeks to the second Sunday in March?! Can't say I mind particularly, but it sure will be dark in the morning. On March 10, civil twilight will begin at 7:25 DST and the sun won't rise until nearly 8am (7:52).
Should make sleeping late a bit easier, sans window treatments. ;)
This is the note received: Starting in the spring of 2007, daylight saving time
(DST) start and end dates for the United States will transition to comply with the Energy Policy Act of
2005. DST dates in the United States will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in
March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November).
(New DST start date: March 11, 2007
DST end date: Nov 4, 2007)
All desktops/laptops need to be patched to comply with this new Energy Policy (otherwise, your computer won't know about the change)
Please consult your OS or PC manufacturer's web site for further information.
Oh, I REALLY like that one. Good tag-line material

Homer is the best character ever created. He has so much wisdom to give us if we would just listen.
Hello, ladies!
Hi pax. just got back to computer to rest my back a bit & work on some pix. will post a few from yesterday's dog walk with my two dogs & my friend John & his two dogs.(since people are posting dog pix)
It was VERY cold yesterday and as you can see this is a rolling area.. lots of streams, one good sized river, a pond & waterfall are part of this section (Brandywine Falls area for those local)
Mine are the German Shepherd & the LIGHT golden retriever), The other two dogs belong to my friend John, LONG time guy pal & once fiance & retired Cop. He dogs are a dingo & Golden Retriever
The middle pix with John & 4 dogs, is the hike down a long winding hill. It was once a road but was closed off to traffic about 20 years ago.The drop from the top to the valley floor is about 250 feet. My home is 840 above sea level. Below at the Cuyahoga River, canal, towpath is about 500. My buddy Paul gave me an altimeter a few years ago when his dad died. It was from his dad's car & originally in his dad's plane I feel very honored to have it
Can't wait to see your photos!
I'm having a hard time typing because Dubya keeps "hugging" me: jumping his front legs onto my lap and then laying his head against me while "holding my hands" with his front paws.
He isn't happy unless both of my arms are hugging him or he has both of my hands with his paws... he nudges my hand away from the keyboard if I try to type....
I love dogs unleashed and in packs and being the leader, it's magic.
Can't wait until I have a pack in my backyard and take them places like that where we can be free.
Great photos - obviously I was away long enough to post "can't wait" AFTER you had posted the photos! :-)
I'm sooooo jealous of the snow.
First pix my date & second pix our friend who I danced with quite a bit.
My date is a wonderful dancer & we danced quite a bit the first part of evening but he pulled something in his leg in morning playing racquet ball & about half way thru evening decided to not be on feet any more(I think his pain killer had worn off)
