ood morning. Big temp change here from yesterday. When I walked the dogs this morning it was 40! yesterday about 8. Nice & balmy - that will change as later a clipper is to descend again on us
Did you catch this? DST moved up three weeks to the second Sunday in March?! Can't say I mind particularly, but it sure will be dark in the morning. On March 10, civil twilight will begin at 7:25 DST and the sun won't rise until nearly 8am (7:52).
Should make sleeping late a bit easier, sans window treatments. ;)
This is the note received: Starting in the spring of 2007, daylight saving time
(DST) start and end dates for the United States will transition to comply with the Energy Policy Act of
2005. DST dates in the United States will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in
March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November).
(New DST start date: March 11, 2007
DST end date: Nov 4, 2007)
All desktops/laptops need to be patched to comply with this new Energy Policy (otherwise, your computer won't know about the change)
Please consult your OS or PC manufacturer's web site for further information.
not a big deal. change the clock manually...
Thanks for the heads-up on daylight savings time. I'm not a morning person, so I couldn't care less whether it's dark in the morning. Having DSL begin earlier in March will give me a few more weeks when I can walk in the evenings after work. That time will help me be in better shape.
I've saved the snake bar. I'll have to use it somewhere.
Snakes are interesting creatures. I've heard that eating and digesting are very stressful on a snake's system. As a result, they like fasting a little bit because fasting gives their system a chance to rest.
One of my fantasies is to live in a house where I have biking, walking, and kayaking available without having to drive anywhere. I'd like to be able to walk and bike on roads or trails that are safe and scenic. Ideally, I'd like to be able to drag my boat across the back yard and launch. While you may not be able to launch your boat from home, your being able to take such great walks from home is great. I'd love to retire to a place like that someday.
