As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Kerry has announced he will not run in 2008, saying it was his comments about the troops in Iraq, which he still refers to as a "misguided joke" that influenced his decision, but publicly stating he wants to stay in the Senate to fight against President Bush's "misguided" war in Iraq.
Vice President Cheney indicated the opponents (those would be DemoncRATS) don't have a policy regarding Iraq but would rather redeploy the troops or withdraw (actually, these are the same things, with the RATS simply fishing for a word that connects well and doesn't sound like surrender).
Congress seems to be pushing forward pell mell with legislation to provide a mass amnesty to illegal aliens.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LOL. I guess it wouldn't look good with the stimulating agenda you've put forward.
Thank you so much for that explanation. I'd missed most of the reporting on FNC about this and it sounded more important than I guess it really is.
Thank you for #20, Chair!
ROFL! No I reckon it would look pretty sad!
I am happy to report that no sleeping, excessive yawning, or head bobbing took place during the meeting!
However, all the coffee I drank did make itself known at about the 50 minute mark! :)
Fortunately, no accidents to report either!!!
Just was briefly perusing the Thomas Register and stumbled on this one that is sponsored by conyers with 42 co-sponsers. Note that it states residents, and not even limits it to citizens, meaning every resident of the U.S.A. would be covered, regardless of citizenship.
Latest Major Action: 1/24/2007 Referred to House committee. Status: Referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committees on Ways and Means, and Natural Resources, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
This weas just one that I accidently stumbled across. It's going to be a loooooong 2 years.
Toby, thanks for the update on Jason. What dear hearts you and your family have!
Utah Girl, I hope you feel better soon!
lysie, waiting on pins and needles here...
Jane, thanks for the ping to the Horatio commentary. Excellent!
Tracy taking Jason for his FIRST haircut, told her to put his clippings in a envelope and handed her one.
Thank goodness for the 10 minute smoke breaks we used to have in the old AF, they too came at the 50 minutes of the hour. Glad you made it.
I am back from a series of errands, including stopping to get my BP meds at the grocery/pharmacy. I also bought some meat, and when I got home, the phone was ringing. It was the pharmacist, and I had left all my prescriptions (3) at the checkout!
I already paid for them, so hubby is going to pick them up on the way home. Last month I left my checkbook and the pharmacist had to chase me down.
I am so embarrassed. I rarely do this and to do it at the same place no doubt has the guy thinking I am getting senior-itis!
Oh well.
I see in our paper Lugar is going to vote with the President even though he is doubtful because he thinks it poor form to do this during war. At least a bit of common sense has surfaced.
It's going to be cold here tonight. I am ready for spring!
The x-rays showed that I have osteoarthritis in the hip. A little of the cartilage is worn, but there is a small space between the bones. Immediately the doctor said I needed a hip replacement. Well, I thought, let me see if he knows my cousin...(Minimally Invasive Anterolateral Hip Replacement and the 24 Hour Total Hip)
He said yes he has heard about him and that he applied to practice in Portland, ME. The kind of surgery this doctor does it takes weeks to recover.
Hmm...funny how he backed off the hip replacement and changed his opinion to physical therapy after I mentioned my cousin.
Maybe, it's just me, but some doctors I don't trust.
Molly, Bev, I have started using an exercise glider. What a difference. It really has helped my hip. I'm in a wait and see mode. I'll keep gliding, go to PT and see what happens.
Thanks for your concern.
I find that politics keeps my mind preoccupied. I'm not aware of it until I do something like you did today. Luckily, if I misplace something it's usually at home.
Could be. It may also be that I was trying to get out of the grocery quickly, because I am on this strict diet and I am HUNGRY and the pharmacy is right by the deli and the bakery! LOL!
That must be the reason.
I think every time Jason moves a picture is taken, cutest little fella with that blonde hair like Tracy.
What a great experience for your nephew!
Greg was in the Tupper Lake area this morning where it was -26?? BRRR!!! How cold where you are?

"The No S Diet, described below, is a diet I invented for myself that I imagine might work for similarly minded people.
No funny science or calorie accounting involved, just a few simple and mnemonic tricks for giving your willpower the upper hand.
There are just three rules and one exception:
No Snacks
No Sweets
No Seconds
Except (sometimes) on days that start with 'S'
That's it.
How could something this simple possibly work? Precisely because it's simple -- or rather, following the Einsteinian dictum, "as simple as possible, but not simpler." For all its folksy charm, there's a lot of serious, practical wisdom packed into those 14 words."
The guy who started this lost the weight he wanted to by eating three squares a day with two drinks every night and enjoying his S days.
I remember reading that. Did you post it once before? If so, thanks for posting it again.
hello
I am at home. Busy day today. Hubby has been away on business all week, so I got to sort Mt Mail.
