OMG they shot the woman's dog?
"Pit Bull attacks".
Yawn.
So what else is new?
What PI$$E$ me off about this is not three days ago I saw some officer refuse to shoot a turkey and got trapped in his car and called for backup. A wild turkey? No shot! A woman's dog? Blow it away, Charlie!
I'd have gone to jail for assault that day.
Luckily, when they finally did get out - they only dismembered a neighbors cat. That was it - we had them evicted from the neighborhood. The dogs should have been put away, period!
Here's hoping the remains of the first pit bull will lead police to the miscreant owner.
Oh, wait, here come the pit bull apologists to post defenses of this pit-iful breed and their testosterone-deficient owners ...
Can't someone find an article about a dog shooting a police officer?
To give everyone a little bit more insight into this particular story, the location in question, (62nd and McKinley), is one of the worst neighborhoods in Tacoma. Dogs running loose around there are the norm and most of the dogs I see therabouts are pitbulls.
I grew up on the East side and it is probably more dangerous than the Hilltop area. Gang bangers, pit bulls, dogs of all types running around and bullets firing, it's a rough area no matter the time of day.
There is something darkly comical in this story.
I'm surprized they didn't shoot the woman too...
Gunfight at The Canine Corral....
Pit Bull dogs should be identified, rounded up into Pit Bull dog concentration camps and eradicated. Or just shot on the spot, whichever.
Its too bad the reporter didnt get to interview the owner for the standard quote about how the sweet pit bull has never hurt anybody before.
FWIW the video at the following link gives some indication that the third dog was a Lab
and that it was the dog that bit the cop's leg causing a "gushing" wound.
