Where do I put it all?

Rubbermaid tubs.

Stacked taller than I am high.

In the guest bedroom closet.

That said, I'm vowing to spend fewer evening hours FReeping and more of the crochetting. Hopefully I'll finish squares for two afghans that are each 5/8 of the way finished. One is for my husband ... and we're coming up on eight years of it not being done. *wince*

I freep and crochet or freep and knit...but I need to sew...and that means being away from the puter... of course, I have to put the stash away a bit more before I can cut anything out...

I must caution you if you are going the full Tasha Tudor route. In the 70s and 80s I owned a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I should more correctly state that I owned the residence where a Pembroke Welsh Corgi chose to reside.

Possibly you are aware that they are intelligent, wonderful dogs with great dispostions. Perhaps, you are aware that many dogs shed, periodically or somewhat all year. This is not the case with Pembroke Welsh Corgis.

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi SHEDS, AND DOES SO ALL THE TIME.

Spend and hour brushing the dog, and if it goes near a piece of fabric or upholstry, get out the wide tape.

Reminds me of when I had a sled dog. Beautiful dog, but boy could she shed.

I'm a fairly new knitter, so my yarn stash is still manageable. However the fabric stash has had years to accumulate, and is extensive...

I know a woman who had so many dress patterns, that when she had the opportunity to buy a pattern drawer set from a fabric store which closed down, she did!

My husband is finishing a fenced vegetable garden. We have a lot of deer. I'm excited, but it will take time away from quilting and knitting....

>>You read my mind! I am looking forward to a small, clean, comfortable little cottage in the woods with lots of cats, quilts, books, chickens, a milk cow of my own and a nice, fenced garden. *SIGH*

Think Tasha Tudor, if you know who she is. :) <<

I love Tasha Tudor! Sign me up too!!

As I have aged, I realize I don't want to take care of chickesn or cows. Cows make cow patties. And chickens make...well....and it's just one more thing to have to keep track of!

Once I dreamed of goats and sheep, now I just dream of cashmere....

OMG. You've been "Oprah-ized!" Fight it! Fight it with every ounce of strength left in your body, LOL!

I like Corgis. In the neighbor's yard, LOL!

I'll be "Tasha With a Twist" and have useful hunting dogs that earn their own keep living with me in my little cottage in the woods. (Black Labs, any type of Spaniel, etc.)

And the cats will live in the barn, fer Pete's Sake! None of those "curling up by the fire & purring all day" cats for me. Earn your keep!

Uht-Oh! Cat 'Tilly' is giving me the Evil Eye as she sits here on the computer desk, begging for a scrap of my supper...Busted! :)

This is what I just did when I cleaned out a closet that I hadn't seen the floor of for years! I started organizing and found oodles of yarn I didn't even know I had!

I made a brutal assessment of my yarn stash, traded some out, and donated more to a thrift shop. And I try to be strong when in the aisles at Hobby Lobbym, EVEN when they put my favorite stuff on sale!

Finally, I've been busily knitting more scarves to use up some of my yarn, in between beading necklaces.

My dream includes golden retrievers, rather than corgi's, and I'm still not decided about the cat. It would depend if my husband is included, as he hates cats...LOL!!!
