Yikes! It wasn't as bad over the weekend as the local media told us it would, but it looks like it finally hit last night.
This was accurately predicted by Global Warming Model #5,118,919.445, revision 1937b.
To sum up: if it's weather, it's Global Warming.

Yup ice has arrived this morning. It was predicted all weekend and it is here. I hope our power remains on.
28 degrees, brrr
I live in Denton. Ice pellets hitting the window woke me about 3am. We have ice all over the roads now. Given my previous experiences with Dallas traffic on icy days, I'm staying home.
I live in East Texas 100 miles from Dallas...the 'ice is starting to come down now and I have to go out and feed the horses in about an hour. I dread it.
It's gonna Global Warm to near zero tonight in Oklahoma and surrounding areas.
lol.
Oklahoma and Missouri seemed to have gotten the brunt of this one. All 77 counties in OK have been declared disaster areas. Many areas south and southeast of Tulsa got up to 2" of ice. There were 3 different bands that came through in a 2-3 day period.
Springfield MO area got hit hard. Even on Saturday, St. Louis MO area had 100,000 people without electric power.
It isn't even going to ge above freezing (daytime) until Wednesday, so this ice isn't going anywhere for a while.
No additional accumulations are expected in OK/MO.
The problem now is that winds may increase. With the trees and powerlines covered with ice, the wind could cause more breaks in powerlines.
Motels in many smaller towns in OK were full -- with locals who had lost power at their homes.
Not a fit night out for man nor beast! (Or fit day either.)
I get layed off in April and have 88 hours of sick time to burn...Hello bed...Hello DVD player..
Huntsville, Alabama drivers are terrible in perfect conditions. With rain they get even worse.
If our roads get the least bit icy I stay home until the ice is gone.
128 major accidents within the Dallas city limits in the past 24 hours.
I've stayed holed up in my house all weekend and just fixin' get out there head to work. I'm told this is a holiday so maybe it won't be too bad.
Up here in the Frisco area I drove at 25mph from garage to office. I'm glad the kids are out of school today, less traffic for the 2.5 mile commute I have to deal with.
That's good. My commute is from Denton to downtown Dallas.
:(
Coming our way now down here in Central Texas. It's taking its sweet time.
