We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail.
Thanks for the birthday greetings!
Hubby & I had a great weekend...............left Sat. p.m. for the lodge/waterpark. Had dinner there that night; in the a.m. we did some antiquing, stopped & had lunch at a favorite local burger place & watched the beginning of Da Bears game on their big screen TV. Then we went back to the lodge & hit the waterpark, hot tub, etc. For dinner we went out to a very nice new Mexican restaurant; the food was fabulous. This morning we had breakfast at the lodge & did some more antiquing.:)
We got home about an hour ago & hubby is out using the snowblower because WE FINALLY GOT SNOW!!!! WOO-HOO!!! YAY!!!!
What a great birthday present!:) :) :)
So all in all it's been a great birthday.:)
You three ladies will be in my prayers BIGTIME................
I'm praying for what hubby said! Best of all possible options.
While this is "series" business, it's mostly light and I thought we might could use a little light today.
What Happened?
At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of it.
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, then
Tax his tears.
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass
Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.
Put these words
upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me
to my doom..."
When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

COMMENTS: Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What happened? (And I still have to "press 1" for English.)
Prayers for a healthy, pink, prissy, shoe lovin' little girl.
Sleep well this afternoon. I agree with Hubby, prayers going up for a complete healing.
kay, prayers continue for you, poppyseed and the wee one.
When you put it that way....it's like getting hit on the head by a 2x4.
Guennie, praying that you heal well and fast.
Kay, continuous prayers for you.
I was shocked to learn that there was sales tax on my husband's funeral.
I'm heading out on my roadtrip. The East/West roads are drifting and I need to get to the point where I turn North before the sun sets.
I'll check in tomorrow.
Travel mercies for you hon!
Please be very careful, Grabby. I'll put youn my list.
oops, left hand typing. Grabby=Granny
What did the Dr say? Did you have your nap?
Yes, I had a very restful nap :)
Freeper General is off and running :)
That's exactly what it's supposed to be, my body just not working efficiently. But it clears up after the baby's delivered. Tests were inconclusive, but baby's fine according to ultrasound this p.m.. C-sec is set for tomorrow at noon. Should have a baby by 12:15 if not earlier. My doc is horrible, but hopefully I won't have to deal with her much more after tomorrow. Just pray she doesn't tie my tubes or remove my spleen or something - she doesn't seem to be aware I'm even around, much less what I'm seeing her for. (And I WISH I were joking. She asked me today how my nausea - the nausea I went to the hospital for last night - is doing today. Arggggghhhh! And wouldn't spend more than sixty seconds again with me this afternoon. That's 120 whole seconds I've gotten to see my doctor, the one taking a knife to my belly tomorrow, for THE WHOLE PREGNANCY. So unhappy with her - but not much longer I'll have to deal with her.)
I dunno if maybe Daddy or Mama can pop on and update once the baby's born, but she'll be here tomorrow, and I'm sure she'll be fine and healthy - if I was made for anything, it was carrying and having babies.
Thank you all for all the well-wishes and prayers! After tomorrow, you can point them all back at Mama. I'm a fast healer and no stranger to ab. surgery, so all should go quite well with me. :)
