"We're ecstatic that the World of Warcraft community has continued to grow steadily since we launched the game," said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment®. With the release of our expansion pack, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, coming next week, we're looking forward to welcoming more players to Azeroth and offering even more quality content for our community to enjoy."
Since debuting in North America on November 23, 2004, World of Warcraft has become the most popular MMORPG around the world. One thing about the Normal servers is you can have horsde characters also.
My Frostbolt spam is hitting for an average of 1250 or so. Double that figure on a crit, not counting trinkets or 6/8 Frostfire bonus or anything else.
I've got screenies of much bigger crits than that (trinket running/Power Infusion/Berserker buff/target was unlucky Warrior in Berserker stance/Curse of Elements on the enemy, etc.) going way over 4000 ... but those don't count. :)
Level 28 Dwarf hunter. Managed to avoid the game in grad school only to have my husband convince me to play with him. It's more addictive than I had feared. I haven't done dishes in two weeks but my Hunter is up on her skills!
*nods* yep...I know the feeling.
Thanks, you need to get back into the pinballs, the 90's games are great.
Yo yo yo WoW FReepers!
I stole your names from this thread and Safrguns' home page . . . if you're interested in forming a WoW guild, please FReepmail me.
We'd need to pick a server - right now, the list I've compiled has us on 18 different servers - and whether we'd rather be Alliance or Horde.
As far as the server, it might be easiest to pick one none of us currently uses.
Also, should this be its own thread, do you think?
That would be best I think. Hehe will be fun grinding it out with FReepers. Yes, I think you should create a new thread, in spite of the inevitable flames that it will have lol.
"Ready, normal people?!?"
I just replied FRmail..but wanted to bump this...heck yeah, let's pick a server and side. I don't care which or what. Let me know!
agree w that. pick a server and lets get a guild going.
i am on alexstraza if that counts.
lol rp ;-P
it then let me put a leash on it and walked quietly beside me around the house to the garage.
Eventually the shelter called me back and gave me the number of the owners who happened to be in the neighborhood looking for the dog and the two sons drove over and picked her up. She had actually strayed from about 2 1/2 miles away through many subdivisions.
I was really impressed by her temperament, her gentleness and her obvious intelligence.
Gnome frost mage, +672 damage gear. 0/0/51 spec.
Ouch. My main is a human mage on Silvermoon, 10/0/41 spec. +672 dmg is insane! Guess raiding Naxx explains it. I'm attuned for Naxx, but never been in there.
I have most of the T2 battleground gear and ZG stuff (exalted), but my +dmg is only in the low 400s. Normal Frostbolt XI hits in the low 1000's, not including ZHC or whatever. Again, +672 lol. Didn't know you could get it that high (b4 the expansion anyway).
As far as raiding, all the various guild alliances I've been involved with pretty much fell apart after they changed to allow buying the high end PVP gear with honor. Everyone switched to BGs. Plus, there hasn't been much enthusiasm for raiding places like MC (which noone likes much) since the BG gear is better, and most of the gear will soon be obsolete when BC comes out anyway.
60 Human Mage on Silvermoon
60 Human Pally on Silvermoon
50 Night Elf Druid on Silvermoon
44 Dwarf Warrior on Silvermoon
34 Night Elf Priest on Silvermoon
45 Tauren Druid on Thrall
Can't wait. Have 3 copies pre-ordered, since myself, my wife & my son all play on different accounts :). The local Gamestop is not participating in the Monday/Tuesday midnight 1/16/07 festivities, so I'll have to wait until after work on Tuesday to install & check out the new continent and new starting areas :(
LOL! Considered that too, but my sense of responsibility kicked in due to semi-important meetings on Tuesday and nagging RL concerns. However, I'm seriously considering taking the day off on Wednesday 8).
In the past I've found it to be bad to take off work on a 'go live' day for a game. Most of the time on such days you will spend more time waiting on the servers to come online, and when they finally do come online the lag is horrible. That's not to mention if there are any bugs.
The day after the go live day is the best time to take off work,if you are going to.
Yep. Been grinding the last few days to get the 20250 honor I need to get the robes b4 Tuesday. I already got the Mageblade - significant +dmg boost o.O - ul like it!
At this point, I'm extremely sick of running WSG, AB & AV. Especially as alliance, since we regularly get to wait in long queues for the privilege of being pwned by horde, so it takes a LOT longer to build up honor. But, like the WoW addict I am, I keep going in anyway cause that next piece of T2 BG gear is so enticing...
Can you get in this morning? I've been trying for almost an hour.
Yep. It gets mentioned out of the blue on various TV shows as well. Aside from the obvious entire Southpark episode recently devoted to it, I was watching Stargate Atlantis the other day and some uber-geek scientist was "boring" the female expedition leader with WoW conversation :).
Remember back when the Blizzard programmers unwittingly released a plague, which swept through the various capital cities killing people's characters? That was a good example of the complexity and pseudo-realism of this game going beyond what was ever intended or even envisioned by the programmers. Quite a phenomena.
Nope, that's why I came back here to check on the thread I started a couple days ago (and forgot about :).
On two different computers and two different accounts, I get an ominous message -- something about not being able to validate my copy of the game. Doesn't bode well.
