Suzanne: At Least I Don't Have a Kid in Iraq

In the wake of a devastating fire that destroyed her Malibu home, Suzanne Somers maintains a positive attitude.

In a statement to TMZ issued by her rep, Suzanne says, "My nature is to look at the glass half full. I don't have a son or daughter in Iraq. I haven't lost a loved one. We will rebuild, and I truly believe we will learn something great from this experience."

Suzanne and her husband were not in Malibu during the blaze.

Of course her comment is not surprised. She's a liberal and she had an abortion back in the '70s before Three's Company fame.

'Step by Step' ran longer then Three's Company did actually. She was virtually barred from working after being fired by court injuntion for a few years. Her return in a trashy 1985 TV movie was greeted with the highest honor a blonde boob-tube bimbo can attain...the cover of TV Guide.

Isn't she the one that got tossed off Three's Company because she was a bitch and her husband couldn't shutup?

Suzanne supports the troops FYI. She is not the typical Hollywood liberal one might think reading the posts here. My heart goes out to her.

"Suzanne: At Least I Don't Have a Kid in Iraq"

From IMBD: "The two began dating, and she became pregnant while Hamel was still married. They came to the conclusion that Suzanne should have an abortion, from which she suffered severe bleeding for several days."

For Somers, it's easier to kill a baby than it is to have a kid in Iraq.

since she hasn't done a thing since "thighmaster"

Is it still playing in the theatres? If not, can I get it On Demand from my cable provider? Did it win any awards? Was it nominated for any?

Good point. I really have no idea of her political history since she hasn't done a thing since "thighmaster" but I certainly wouldn't be surprised to hear she's a moonbat.

FWIW, according to the website, www.newsmeat.com, Suzanne Somers is a Democrat who supported Al Gore for President back in 1999, and donated $1,000.

Guess she doesn't count the baby she and Hamel aborted.

Believe me, she has a lot of money.

Oh, I'm sure she does.

However, what she has now is a small fraction of what she would have had if she had stayed on Three's Company and segued into even bigger things without enraging Hollywood producers with her tantrums and lack of professionalism.

She was beloved by the whole country in 1979 and probably could have made a few big blockbuster films in the 1982-1987 timeframe. By now, producers would have paid her a million dollars for a two minute cameo on a single sweeps week episode.

But she squandered almost all that goodwill, leaving behind just enough to sell products on HSN.

It takes a lot of incompetence to submarine your career worse than Shelley Long or David Caruso did.

She could have made the point about children at least a mullion other ways, but this is the way she chose to phrase it, with complete aforethought intent.

I, too, usually like to give the benefit of the doubt, but just doesn't seem to apply here.

CA....

Caruso redeemed himself and he's the first to admit that leaving "NYPD Blue" was a mistake. David's great on "CSI: Miami." Poor Shelley Long. What a TERRIBLE decision to leave "Cheers."

Not a big surprise. I run into idiots like this all of the time. They act like you have had something happen beyond a death in the family when you have a son deployed. I think they feel good about themselves when they are this dingy.

'Step by Step' ran longer then Three's Company did actually.

It sure did. It seemed to go on forever.

But you never see it on reruns, and a quick search reveals that its only DVD availability is a single disc of "favorite episodes."

Her return in a trashy 1985 TV movie was greeted with the highest honor a blonde boob-tube bimbo can attain...the cover of TV Guide.

LOL! I remember that!

What is on her thread is her entire quote; it's odd though, TMZ is the only one publishing the entire quote.

And as I said, I heard her say it and I didn't take it in any way to be trashing Iraq. She was just stunned and babbling.

I'd rather have a kid in Iraq than a kid in New Orleans.

Neither do I.

But, hey, what would some people do if they couldn't jump all over stuff like this.

Guess she doesn't count the baby she and Hamel aborted My guess is most people do not consider that as losing someone.
