In the wake of a devastating fire that destroyed her Malibu home, Suzanne Somers maintains a positive attitude.
In a statement to TMZ issued by her rep, Suzanne says, "My nature is to look at the glass half full. I don't have a son or daughter in Iraq. I haven't lost a loved one. We will rebuild, and I truly believe we will learn something great from this experience."
Suzanne and her husband were not in Malibu during the blaze.
yeah, she made it scamming people with that leg exercise device.
Suzanne is always on HSN hawking her products from jewelry, health food, diet books and clothes....but have never bought any of her products.
Exactly.
She got her sound bite in.Now here's mine:
Several multi million dollar homes in that area had been on the market for quite awhile.
I have friends who swear by her leg/thigh exercise machine. I've never tried it, though.
She needs to take a lesson from Michael Jordan. "Republicans buy shoes too."
Twit I said, twit!!!
Just another Hollywierd libs who needs to spout off about Iraq when it has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
correct, and that's the main point here. her house burned, why does that cause her to talk about iraq?
I interpret it as TMZ (I agree, whatever that is) printing the full quote and AP cleaning it up.
Notice that AP put '...' in the middle of the quote. She said something between the two sentences they quoted but AP isn't letting on just what it was.
I'd comment....but I don't want to be banned.
She was probably pushing one of her products at the Home Shopping Network.
Yep... you would have never heard this story if it didn't contain this comment.
Crissy's just tryin to get work. She keeps this up and a year from now she will be starring with Sean Penn and Alec Baldwin.
I'm kind of surprised at all of the negative replies here. I don't think she meant it the way some are taking her statement.
yeah, she'll be selling a fire extinguisher that you hold between your legs and squeeze to make the foam come out.
Yeah, but OTOH it's equally as likely that the AP has done some creative editing on her statement, knowing how badly it'll go over with us rubes. Such is the state of the media these days.
Oh, I think compared to other comments on this thread regarding Sommers, mine is tame.
She made the comment intentionally, and with malice aforethought against this country and this war. After watching the libs in this country since 9/11 I have no doubt about her intentions.
Comparing the loss of one's home and all the irreplaceable effects (not the replaceable ones) to having a child in Iraq might seem to you her attempt to keep things in perspective. IMHO, this was a jab towards our President and this war, plain and simple, but an ultra-lib who believes she and her kind know better than all the rest of the world. She could have just as easily have said something to the effect of "Thankfully we didn't lose any of our family to this fire", rather than bringing in the issue of a war that is unpopular with her crowd.
Yes, People Magazine has her mentioning Iraq too: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20007806,00.html
Good point. I really have no idea of her political history since she hasn't done a thing since "thighmaster" but I certainly wouldn't be surprised to hear she's a moonbat.
Oh yeah, he handled that Three's Company contract renegotiation brilliantly.
She really has had a stellar TV and film career since he screwed that particular gimme up - Nothing Personal was a real blockbuster.
And the cast of Friends must wince with envy every time anyone mentions She's The Sheriff in their presence.
