In the wake of a devastating fire that destroyed her Malibu home, Suzanne Somers maintains a positive attitude.
In a statement to TMZ issued by her rep, Suzanne says, "My nature is to look at the glass half full. I don't have a son or daughter in Iraq. I haven't lost a loved one. We will rebuild, and I truly believe we will learn something great from this experience."
Suzanne and her husband were not in Malibu during the blaze.
Translation: "At least I'm not making a personal or familial contribution to the illegitimate American war against islamofascism. I'd rather submit than fight."
I think that there should rejoicing over the fact that the houses of wealthy celebrities burned down.
No different logic than when the "poor and downtrodden masses" celebrate taxes being raised on the rich.
Am I right or Amarillo?
Suzanne's father was a drunk.
Her dream, as a young lady, was to become "the weather girl" on TV in hometown San Francisco. She auditioned at three stations - and the gig always went to someone else.
Did a nice interview with her years ago at the Kennedy Center where she was co-starring in a stage show with Bob Hope.
She's not afraid of hard work, and her husband is a helluva business manager.
But I do find her comments, er, unusual. I reckon it goes with the territory in Malibu.
Unbelievable...
ummmm
I predict this gets a bit of play on the news
That's what I got out of it; I didn't take it as a jab at the war; just listing of things that could be wrong for her..........she obviously was stunned by what she was seeing.
"Senator,I'm afraid I must exercise my rights under the 5th Amendment"
I did not take her comment the way it's being reported.
But that's just me...
It could be worse.
She could be a washed-up has-been with a creepy Svengali for a husband and a woefully-in-arrears tab with numerous plastic surgeons.
I wonder how many other houses they own.
lol
I wouldn't judge so fast.
Even a Freeper proud of their kid would still be worried about a child in Iraq moreso than a house fire.
bwahahahahahahahaha!
I don't know, on the one hand it's true. They lost a house, not a loved one, put it in perspective. On the other hand she could have made her point without dragging the war and the families of dead servicemen into it.
I agree with you on her hard work. She didn't make her millions from residual checks from "Three's Company."
Oh, you may be asking yourself "Why did he censor the picture?" Well, I didn't. Suzanne actually suffers from a horrible chest-disfiguring ailment known as "Weird Fuzzy Lines Where Her Naughty Bits Should Be,"
Sounds like Suzanne's PR person is in damage control mode.
But, of course, they support the troops.
