I know a lot of people who complain that a lot of new phones are too small. Just goes to show you can't please all the people all the time. I can't wait to get one.

(Like I always say, there's no "I" in team. There's a "me" though, if you jumble it up.)
To: Terpfen
Thanks. I stopped reading after I saw the "C" word.

How cool is that? Very cool, but I'm wondering how it will work for women with long nails.

February if I remember correctly. $299.00 is what I see on the NYSE broadtape.

Uh oh, the features on this phone are insane.
You are not going to believe this. It includes a browser and...
it can connect to websites including Google maps and...
it tells you where you ARE!
Holy Moly, this thing is going to sell. Apple stock is now up over $2.
WoW!

It's a video iPod, a cell phone, an internet communicator.. It runs OS X, Safari, and other applications.
MULTI-TOUCH... This is amazing. I could easily see this being 600-800 bucks.

The whole interface is just incredible. The industry has had years to get a good interface, especially for smartphones/PDA devices. We get these little micro-improvements every few years, just enough to get us to uprade.
I hate tiny buttons, I hate tiny phones (large hands), I want Wifi, what with the connectivity that is cropping up all over the place.
I would have designed this phone, if somebody asked me what I wanted.
To: Terpfen
Why will it fail as a phone? Because it can fit in a pocket?
Because it looks like it'll be a tight fit in most pockets. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely getting one. Just not sure based on the photo that enough people will buy it for phone use because of it's size.
To: Domandred
What is REALLY unique is the way you navigate through it. Doesn't have any buttons and no wheel like the iPod. It has translucent numbers that light up.
You navigate by touch.

Oh darn, I must have just skipped right past it. Thanks.
So $299, insane.
Wish I still had my Apple stock.

Apparently it has GPS on board - it knows where you are.
You can have it find a Restaurant nearby.

I think it will be a moderate hit as the successor to the video iPod, but a failure as a phone. I'll make the opposite prediction - this device is almost a revolution in mobile telecommunications. Apple will sell tons of them.

I think 299.99 is the Apple TV. There's no way all of this can be just 299.99

Oh, come on. The Blackberry is bigger than this thing--that didn't exactly stop its adoption, did it?

But for some reason this sweet thing as got my attention. I'm drooling, and I'm already on Cingular :)
