Dig it: The 1970's are calling...pick up the phone and groove on the memories. When was the last time the Democrats ran the House and the Senate? When was the last time the Conservatives wondered what became of the GOP? When was the last time people craved an "energy policy"? When was the last time the word TAXATION was used in the same sentence as inevitable? When was the last time people considered Ford and Carter as Presidents? When was the last time Iran seriously threatened the USA? When was the last time AM radio ruled the airwaves? When was the last time music was as purposely bad as today? Dynamite! You remember the last time was the 1970s.
Trip out and go back in time to AM radio, a pick in your afro, corn rows platform shoes, bell bottoms, silk shirts, short shorts, large neck chains, mood rings, disco music, rollerskating mania, teen idols, Farrah Fawsett, the Brady Bunch, the misery index, high inflation, price controls, SALT, Annie Hall, and invention of the personal computer. Come join the fun--

With a high level of humility, I'll admit that I am a Raiders fan, and have been since 1969.
Oh, the Raiders of the 70's....Lamonica, Stabler, Blanda, Biletnikoff, Branch, Hubbard, Guy....with John Madden coaching, jumping up and down on the sidelines!!!!
I have a complete collection of Grand Funk Railroad on CD.
Also Led Zeppelin and original (with Ronnie Van Zant) Lynyrd Skynyrd.
After the Saturday Night Fever thing died and Urban Cowboy rose up from the dust, some roach clips were found dangling from cowboy hats with feathers on the other end. Who woulda thunk it?
Madden tells a great story about that era. Apparently Ray Guy would start throwing a football around at the end of practice. All the quarterbacks would hurry off the field because Guy's arm would put them all to shame.

Madden also told of Guy accepting a bet that he couldn't punt the ball and hit the scoreboard gondola in the Superdome. He did it. The officials called it a bad punt and he had to punt over.
He's my pick as the best ever.
That hunk of glob looks like an autopsy of Hillary's thighs...
