Thankfully, not many people are saying Boise State deserves a shot at the national championship - their own coach admitted they had the game put away and then nearly blew it - not very indicative of national championship material.
That said, between this and Notre Dame once again sucking in a bowl game (how many years now?), if we can get enough of these controversies, maybe we can get a playoff system (Notre Dame alone is a reason for one - they shouldn't be allowed near a BCS bowl).

I watched it probably 20 times already. I've never been a BSU fan before, but I am now. This is a great sports story. I didn't even follow Ian Johnson, and didn't even know he went to a school 15 minutes from me. I saw a great 8-minute interview with him. What a great kid.

They had their moment and could not repeat it against Ohio State. For this year, the story should end there.
ND has now lost 9 consecutive bowls. That is almost unbelievabe for a school with such a quality program.

Boise State versus Ohio State? As a Buckeye fan, I would take that game gladly.
Boise State would learn to fear the sweater vest before half-time!

Get the DVD. It was the greatest college game ever.

Boise State has changed the way that overtimes will be played, mark my words.
If you're the first team with the ball, eat up the clock; don't score fast. If you win the toss, go for the end play.

I have not called for them to play Ohio State. This is a perfect end for their perfect season. I expect them to be ranked perhaps 6th to end the year.

That makes 9 consecutive bowl losses for the fighting Irish (losing by an average of ~16.5 points, too). Auto-bid, auto-loss. Notre Dame is the single biggest problem with the BCS

The overtime does not have a time problem. Each team gets to start from the opponents 25. It is best to be second with the ball to know what you have to beat.

I know... I was not suggesting you did anything. I was just commenting on the match-up and I picked your post because it was the last one on the thread.

Okay, I understand. (you could also respond to "all" instead of a particular person)

Where can I get the DVD? BTW, the greatest college game ever, was when ASU shut out Nebraska 19-0, also a game I'd like a copy of. Steelers/Raiders Immaculate Conception Game my favorite of all time.

The problem for Ohio State would be Boise State's brains.
Midwestern "football powerhouses" have a difficult time dealing with that.
Trust me, I'm a Nebraska fan.

What difference does it make? FReepers do it to my posts. I understand what they are doing and do not take offense.
To: Hoosier-Daddy
I heard a DVD would be available. I suspect that Boise State could raise a ton of money if they are the ones with the right to sell it.
Come on, a 19-0 game is the greatest? I had no dog in this hunt. It had everything --- a cinderella story, a comeback, last minute heroics, trick plays, and a marriage proposal. That is as good as it gets.
