Best end to a college game I have ever seen!!!
With crazy talk like that you should change your screenname to section8...
The Broncos barely beat the only real team they played the entire season. It was a "dream team" type finish for this ordinarily unrankable, unremarkable team. Congrats to them for clawing their way to the middle of the pack.
After all, USC *did* beat the only top ten team they played...
The perennially overrated Notre Dame... YAWN!
And who did OSU and Michigan beat? fluff....fluff...
First of all I never said anything about the SEC. That's the NCAA equivilant of "little man" syndrome ya got there. Your need to attack the SEC when I was even praising it says all that needs to be said there.
That Saints lost twice to a 6-6 team. I guess that proves they shouldn't be in the play-offs too. Get real. Some teams play great on some days and crap like others. I'm sure if USC knew their slight loss to Oregon St was proof that Boise is better than them they'd have played tighter.
Like I said, get real. Boise St deserved their win and ranking. But no need to get hysterical about how this proves all the top teams are garbage.
That is a bit before my time... No surprise that Notre Dame couldn't win a real(-ish) game, though...
SEC BOWL WINS... 4-3 (THE TWO BCS TEAMS HAVEN'T PLAYED YET)...
BIG TEN....... 2-4! Depends on how you look at it.....
Hillary in handcuffs would have really topped it off nicely for me.
War Eagle!
I'm an SC fan and it would have been an incredible game, but with two losses they should not have played Ohio State.
But they didn't, did they?
They beat Oklahoma, and they deserved to beat Oklahoma!
True, USC probably deserves the shot at the title given its hammering of hapless Michigan today, but the Gators?
Be Seeing You,
Chris
What you want me to defend a team I don't care about? Looking at their schedule I see a lot of mediocre teams with a few highlights...maybe only marginally better than BSU's.
LOL! That was a great post. It was 47 kinds of wrong, but it was a great post!
:)
And looking at it the SEc is 4-3 right now for bowl wins with the Tennessee loss being the only blow-out(10pts) while the rest were 3 point wins. The SEC bowl teams hardly sucked. Arguably they didn't impress but there's still 2 teams left to play...and look at that... they're in the top bowl games. So who knows how it'll go.

Best game ever notwithstanding, had they been in the SEC they wouldn't have been in a bowl game.
Boise State didn't upset OU, they are a top 10 team just like OU. In fact I predicted their win before the game on this thread, and am only surprised that it was as close as it was.
Triggerhippie, post #176 was for you.
Guess they figured a 2pt "underhanded" statue of liberty play had a better chance than starting the 2nd OT with Adrian.P getting the ball 2nd.
Oops, predicted earlier not on this thread (nonexistant at the time) but that one:

I was thinkin' the same thing. Reminds me of Walter Brennan's line in Northwest Passage, when they have to sleep overnight in a swamp by arranging themselves on dead branches - "I've slep' in wuss places, but right now I can't remember 'zackly where they was."
Marking your post for when the Gators shock the world on January 8th. I really hope all the Buckeye players have the same attitude that you do.
The gap between majors and mid-majors is less every year. This is true in basketball and football. I couldn't be happier.
