S.U.V. Kills Boxer, 28, in a Dispute Outside a Bar

A professional boxer was killed in the Bronx early yesterday when a barroom argument spilled outside and one of the men involved drove his sport utility vehicle into a group of people on the sidewalk, the police and witnesses said.
The fight began inside the Moonlight Restaurant and Bar on Belmont Avenue in Belmont, apparently brought on by arguments over which Albanian clan was superior, witnesses said.

A couple of weeks ago an SUV chased down and shot a kid who was throwing stuff at it. Now this.
I just went out and took the keys away from my wife's SUV so that it can't go wild unexpectedly and pull some stunt like this.

We had the first murder (a 14-year old) of 2007 and the news showed a despondent lady (dare I say, a guilt-ridden liberal) who said "If the police got out of their cruisers in front of liquor stores and walked the streets, they would get to know the people in the neighborhood."

It's time to ban these damn things. Oh I know other vehicles hit people too, but SUVs are so big and strong that when they hit someone they kill them. It should be illegal to have one and if you do have one it should be attached to a cable and behind a strong, high fence.>Sarc

My SUV has never attacked anyone, In fact she has gone out of her way to avoid idiots and angry road rage confrontations.... but I'm sure she would have my back in a barroom fight!
