AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 2169 and 2170) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 30, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 12/30/2006 5:28:50 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of dispair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

It's over, he's gone. Saddam Hussein was hung last night in Iraq at just after 10 PM ET, or just after 6 AM ET local time.

The person who filmed the execution said that he saw fear in Saddam's eyes while he was on the gallows.

United States troops are said to be ready for a surge in violence, but the biggest event so far was spontaneous celebrating in Baghdad streets. The Government did not impose a 24-hour curfew.

A last minute appeal was lodged into the United States court system. The United States District Court summarily dismissed the measure, saying it had no jurisdiction over foreign matters.

Saddam was asked if he had anything to say, and he answered: "No, I don't want to." He did, however, say somthing before he was hung. His last words are: "'God is great. The nation will be victorious and Palestine is Arab."

True to the end, however, those who have no respect for human life, but coach themselves as watchers of human rigts, said things like that of Richard Dicker, director of Human Rights Watch's International Justice Program: "Saddam Hussein was responsible for massive human rights violations, but that can't justify giving him the death penalty, which is a cruel and inhuman punishment." In response to Mr. Dicker--one cannot hold life sacred unless one is willing to hold those repsonsible for taking in wihtout cause to the highest penalty. Fortunately, for Iraq, that has now come to pass, and the healing for many hundreds of thousands may begin.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

My New Year's Eve note to family and friends:

For all of you who live at the end of my fingertips..I wish you love, joy and peace in the coming new year.

It has been a difficult year for me. Actually, a difficult past 3 years. I have lost my beloved husband, my little Mother, several dear friends, and recently....my very special daughter in law, Lynn. I have also lost Larry's cat Rusty and our dog Oscar. Pets have always been an integral part of our lives. I miss them too.

I think I will be glad to see this year come to an end. There are times when the struggle has seemed great.

There is a poem I have always liked and I will share it with you all.......It speaks eloquently about remembering those we have lost in this life.

With love, Bev...Andy and Charlie too

At the rising of the sun and its going down, We remember them. At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them.

At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, We remember them.

At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, We remember them.

At the beginning of the year and when it ends, We remember them.

As long as we live, they too will live. They are part of us.....We remember them.

They are part of us.....We remember them.

And we are blessed to have known them, been loved by them and loved them in return.

Wow, I'm getting old. It's almost 8:00pm and I want to go to bed. I don't think Greg and Sarah would appreciate that. LOL

Once again, for those who have not read the latest update from our beloved kayak, below is a post from her daughter.

Just got off the phone with Mama, who has also graciously given me her blessing to be here (so no more sneaking!). Looks like she's stuck in the hospital for tonight, and probably tomorrow, too. The steroids just aren't working as quickly as they'd like them to in order to take down the swelling. There has been SOME improvement, but not enough to not still be frustrating. Plus, with it being a holiday weekend (AGAIN), the hospital is running on limited staff. (She only saw a PA today, not an actual MD.) But she's real impressed with the hospital, says the food is good, and she says the staff are top-notch; so even as boredom and frustration set in, she's trying to see the silver linings.

She reads here a fair amount, but posting is a frustration not just because of the hand, but because the wireless connection at the hospital is abysmal, and she isn't as fond of Daddy's laptop as he is (she hates typing on it, and even moreso one-handed). She's still tired, but getting probably more "rest" (such as it is at a hospital where they interrupt your sleep every three seconds) than she'd like - I know she'd like to be home, because home is so much nicer than a hospital.

So rev up your praying engines that those steroids start behaving like supersteroids, and her hand gets better and she can go home. And thanks again for all your love and prayers and freepmails and emails and support. When I know more, I'll let you all know. Love to you all!

I agree with you Lysie...8 p.m. rolls around...New Year's or not, I am ready to go to bed. Of course, if I slept in later than 0500, I might be able to stay up a little later.

May There Be Peace Within
May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be...
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you...
May you be content knowing you are a child of God...
Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to
sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you...

It is sad to read your sorrowful words concerning your friend. I pray for him, and for you. Yours is perhaps the more difficult burden and I pray that God will uphold and strengthen you as you reach out in God's love... for one who may not realize that God, and others care for him.

Thank you for sharing the burden of your heart with us.

I like to visualize the steroids as "pac men"! Remember the old video game? Well, they gobble up everything in their path. So, Kay...just start thinking the "pac men" are on duty :-)

One of the worst things for us women is the practice of PATIENCE!! Dang, it is a hard thing for us to learn!

Give the meds a chance to work...tomorrow is the new year and I am praying it will bring you time, healing, love, joy and peace. (((Kay)))
