..."Infected men have lower IQs, achieve a lower level of education and have shorter attention spans. They are also more likely to break rules and take risks, be more independent, more anti-social, suspicious, jealous and morose, and are deemed less attractive to women.
"On the other hand, infected women tend to be more outgoing, friendly, more promiscuous, and are considered more attractive to men compared with non-infected controls.
"In short, it can make men behave like alley cats and women behave like sex kittens''...

Some research into toxoplasmosis will reveal that the spores get into the bloodstream and can remain dormant. Then one day, they explode in the brain.

Clearly they have never studied the infected human female after the "parasite" has runned its cycle of life.
Some people call her a skank.

True enough, however, I've seen the same thing happen over the years with skanks. Not every women has money like Cher to clean up the effects of years of being a "sex kitten" -- witness the before and after pictures of former porn stars and prostitutes.
Funny, I was discussing a girl from the old neighborhood with my family the other day. It seems she was a venereal petri dish for the community. And her story speaks of the assumed "parasite" discussed in this article as more of an abuse situation in her family history rather than something attributed to natural occurrences. Thankfully I was way too young to experience her viral charms.

A COMMON parasite can increase a women's attractiveness to the opposite sex but also make men more stupid, an Australian researcher says.About 40 per cent of the world's population is infected with Toxoplasma gondii, including about eight million Australians.
