I know.
My youngest brother's sons were delighted when we found our original chemistry set (dating FRom 1951?) in the attic.
They immediately set about "blowing up" their mom's kitchen, just like their dad had done to his mom 50 years earlier!
Don't think they were able to -- chemicals were somewhat weakened, but they had fun trying!
The last things that hit me were a law book and a 14 pound cat.
D'oh! That's gonna leave a mark!
Wow. I think the kids down the street had Mrs. Boozely.
I had a Speak & Spell and I remember it saying in that annoying electronic voice, "That is incorrect." It said that more often than not.
We tied a Stretch Armstrong to my and my brother's motorcycles as kids, I know what is inside. The secret ingredient is (red gel)don't tell anyone else it is a secret. ;)
LOL! It looks like Elton John.
I did have a Big Wheel, I was Hell on a Big Wheel with that thing, loved going down the hill in our backyard on that thing then hitting the brake (that little handle on the right hand side, and sliding through the grass.
TRIPOLEY
Card game we played w/ kids from our neighborhood on Friday evenings, took turns having it at each different house, the moms would make pizza or snacks of some sort. What fun.
Thanks to my sibling for a quick response to my email asking if anyone remembered the name of that card game.
Tough question,
But, after lots of thought, I've decided that "Blockhead" must have given me the most fun, as I gave a set to my son, and also grandson.
Blockhead was a bunch of different shaped blocks that players would place on top of each other to build the highest and most rickety tower, so that the next player would topple the whole bunch unless he could deftly place the next block to keep the pile in balance.
Fun and educational!
Do you know what game this is? I played it with my brother tons of times. I usually lost against him, but it's still one my favorites.
Well Done!
Thank you.

I loved my Chatty Cathy doll. My sister loved her Kewpie dolls.
One game comes to mind: Mystery Date.
Okay, tell me this sounds so corny!!!!
A few years ago, I had the hardest time finding those little toy army men.
I finally found them at one of those dollar stores.
I am sure you were an adorable kid, so I am sure you looked adorable riding it.
That we be Stratego, a game which I always lost at, it seemed my older brothers would tell me how to set up my pieces and if I didn't do as they said it was whompin time. lol
-Honda Z50 minibike
-Crossman air rifle
-Browning .22 pistol
-Lego Space Station
-Coca-Cola Delivery Truck Playset
-Microscope
-Telescope
-Chemistry set
-Tandy-RadioShack TRS-80 (computer)
-Gibson Epiphone electric guitar w/ amp
That would be Milton Bradley's "Stratego". A nice little introductory boardgame for those who later evolved into "Risk", "Broadside" and later, "Axis & Allies".
Jack.
