Vlad's having a Happy Birthday, except for his trip to the doctor and his runny nose.
Doctor W. says he's fine. He weighs 24-1/2 lbs. and is 32" tall, which is very big for his age. Of course, we knew that, since he's too big for the clothes James wore at the same age, and James is bigger than the Earth. (Or so he claims.)
James will go to the doctor next week. He can tell her all about the Solar System.
Of course James is bigger than the Earth. He can cover the moon with his thumb.
Not only that, but when he stands up, he's taller than it is.
Quite logical duduction, actually.
Oooh, geometry. James would love it, but he's watching "Bob the Builder," a very important experience.

One of the first things one must do in debunking misconceptions about magic is to realize that "the map is not the territory."
When James covers the moon with his thumb, neither his thumb nor the moon is a map. Consequently, it is obviously true that he is bigger than the Earth.
It is only when he learns to see with other eyes that he realizes that his thumb is not actually bigger than the moon, by which time his point of view will be bigger than the solar system, so he will again be bigger than the Earth.
Probably not. Still studying the works of the past masters of fomenting world conflict can give you some interesting ideas.

Granted, the world was a little different in the 90s. My youngest brother is considering enlisting, and while I'd be proud as punch if he did, I'd also worry about him. A lot.
