Not quite trans-Texas corridor, but.... ping.
Appreciated.
"The Amero idea is extremely unlikely to happen.
Any patriotic American or Canadian will viscerally oppose it as a perceived loss of national sovereignty."
Unfortunately, what you and I, or any other Candian or American, for that matter, thinks about this issue will be irrelevant. In the end, it will be a financial issue, driven principally by the magnitude of American indebtedness and loss of value of the dollar. When and if that hits a certain number at a certain point in time, Mexico and Canada will be rolled into the American federal debt scheme as the bankers dictate. The sociopolitical environment will be manipulated so the least amount of social upheaval will occur during the process.
Thanks, man. I'll eat my hat if the Amero comes on the scene in 2010.
Meltdown: French say 'Non' to the euro FR Thread
Responding to the new mood of angst, French leaders across the spectrum are suddenly outdoing each other with frontal attacks on the euro system.Premier Dominique de Villepin has urged Europe's politicians to reassert control over their national economies and curb the powers of the ECB.
"We must clarify matters in exchange rate policy, which means taking back our sovereignty," he said, causing tremors in Brussels
As with the French, most arguments against integration are emotional...not financial. The real issue for us all, is how hard and tightly we should desire to be "integrated" (or enslaved) to international banking interests.
Just a question folks.. not intended as a personal attack. It is wise to seriously consider who we want in the White House in 2008.

The Fraser Institute meets with the Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin at the the German Institute on foreign Politics, Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik.

Is there a particular document on that site that I should read?
Damn, looks like those crazy Birchers were right 30 years ago.
Looks like it’s too late to do much about it now.
Pity.
Not a particular one. I’m showing where all these ‘think tanks’ meet to plain out international foreign policy.
Okay. Thanks.
Why are U.S. related matters discussed overseas behind closed doors?
Where is public involvement with this?
I would REALLY like to know why U.S. matters are discussed in Berlin too.
